Donald Trump overwhelmingly won the fifth main Republican debate Tuesday in Las Vegas, triumphing over closest rival Ted Cruz by a huge margin, a new Newsmax poll says.
Here are the results of the call-in survey: Trump: 79 percent. Cruz: 12 percent. Marco Rubio: 2 percent.

Bush has only 1%. Christie, Fiorini and Kascich <1%
No details on the poll, so it was just a strength of sentiment type poll.
That suggests lots of Trump supporters slamming it. And that suggests lots of Trump supporters TO slam it.
The GOPe saved themselves at the last second... ‘cause most of us would have followed Trump or stayed home... if they pushed Trump out...

“The establishment is unhinged. It is unhinged and the incredible overreaction â using terms like fascist and Nazi and Hitler and Mussolini to Trump’s suggestion about a temporary moratorium on immigration from the Middle East until we find out how we can vet folks a lot better than we’re doing right now,” Buchanan said.
Honestly, and I’ve thought a lot about this. If the GOP pushes out an outsider, a front-running Trump, Carson, or Cruz, then I’m walking.
Not supporting such a move is the only honorable response to it.
I’m with you. If that happens, I’m out too.
>> If the GOP pushes out an outsider, a front-running Trump, Carson, or Cruz, then Iâm walking.
I doubt I could justify any other reaction than to abandon the GOP if they pulled such a nakedly self-serving move.
I’d continue to pray for them and that’s about it.
If they go independent, I’ll go with them. Otherwise, I’ll vote some 3rd party or other on the presidential line.
Ted Cruz is in control now!
Here are the results of the call-in survey:
79 Trump
12 Cruz
02 Marco Rubio
02 Ben Carson
02 Rand Paul
01 Jeb Bush
01> Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina and John Kasich.
Newsmax readers have long given Trump winning scores during the debates.
If Carson, Trump or Cruz are totally shafted by the GOP Establishment, I WILL most DEFINITELY, write in Trump, although I consider Cruz head and shoulders above the other candidates. I believe that Trump might actually have an ability to win with a write in effort, especially against such as Bush vs Hillary.
I’m especially tuned to the establishment shafting one of the outsiders, but I would be upset if they did it even to one of those I consider establishment. If I think someone has won fair and square, and they come in and change that, then I really have to ask what’s the point of what we just went through?
Even if Rubio were to get shafted, I’d still walk. Even if Paul.
1 percent for Jebbie is just enough to keep Barbara up making calls again.
A. There are more Trump supporters than Cruz
B. Trump's supporters are equal to or less than Cruz but more energized and engaged than Cruz supporters.
C. There are more Cruz supporters than Trump and they just can't be bothered to show up and support their guy.
Well, I can’t see any fault there. I’m sure an expert will be along any minute. LOL
