The plans of the next president are personal to the officers of the Pentagon, who are threatening to quit if The Donald becomes commander-in-chief.
Republican presidential candidate and business mogul Donald Trump has repeatedly vowed to build up the U.S. military if elected president.
But it is not clear he will have the experienced commanders within the ranks to do it.
In the halls of the Pentagon, there is a different plan afoot for the Trump presidency. Here, officers are privately contemplating what they would do should Trump become their commander-in-chief. And more often than not, they proclaim they will leave.

I would assume that there are a whole lot of folks in the Pentagon who got ahead by kissing Obama's whatever. When Trump's CIC, the military will be held to a high standard again. I could see that those who thrived under Obama would be unhappy with the thought of a real Commander in Chief who has high standards of professionalism.
The headline is not representative of what the entire article says. These officers also express great concern about statements made by Cruz, Christie and Bush about how to fight ISIS.
But if this bunch of officers could serve under Obama who trashed what thousands and lives, more thousands of serious injuries, and a few trillion dollars had won over almost a decade in Iraq, and then trash Republican candidates for statements in a campaign, then the military would probably be better off without them.
And with all the reports of Obama firing some of the top military officers, those that are left might not be what is needed in the future. Sounds like they are Obama;s boys, the ones who met his approval and probably meet Hillary’s approval.
I hope they all quit... because if they don't, then president Trump will have to fire them and get the right people in place to run things properly.
I always thought that one of GWB's biggest mistakes as a president was in keeping too many Clinton appointees in positions of power. They wound up spending more time playing politics than anything else, and that undermined his effectiveness. We can't make that mistake again.

I would tell Trump to bring back the hundreds of officers that Obama drummed out of the military. They can keep their pension checks and we can pay them a salary....just like the double dippers do in Chicago. Those are old-time soldiers, exactly what we need!
