REBECCA KAPLAN December 22, 2015. Poll: Donald Trump Trails Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders In MatchUp

If the presidential election were held today, Republican candidate Donald Trump would lose to either of the two leading Democratic candidates, a new Quinnipiac poll found.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vermont, would actually be more successful than Democratic front runner Hillary Clinton, leading Trump 51 percent to 38 percent. Clinton's lead is smaller: She would beat Trump 47 percent to 40 percent.

Trump still leads the 2016 GOP field with 28 percent support among Republicans nationwide, although Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is hot on his heels with 24 percent - within the plus or minus 4.4 percent margin of error among Republican respondents. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio comes in third, with 12 percent support, and former neurosurgeon Ben Carson nets 10 percent. No other Republican candidate gets more than 6 percent support, and 8 percent of respondents said they were undecided.

I don’t know, the thousands of people attending Trump rallies in packed auditoriums look pretty unified to me.

Oh, I think the base is pretty united and will go with either Trump or Cruz, preferably both. I think it is just the elites that are in disarray.

Yeah, un huh, you really make a lotta sense. Donalds speeches garner tens of thousands of people who drive many miles, bad weather or good, stand in line and wait until he speaks and cheer him on. Hitlery and all the rest can’t muster enough followers to fill a good sized room. And you’re gonna tell me that all those millions of Trump supporters aren’t going to vote? Yer outta yer mind!
As far as childish antics are concerned, I’ll take them any day to doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. We’ve had it with the lying, cheating, thieves called politicians who inhabit our government for what they can rake out of it for their own pockets.

FYI The “Base” is finished, shot, kaput!

Weirdly, the link promises me 8 ways Clinton is just like my abuela.

Given what Bill Clinton has done, the image at the top is not something I would want on a website advertising me.

I seriously doubt this poll. Clinton, really? She has more baggage than O’Hare. She couldn’t beat an epileptic monkey that had been dead for a week. No one, no one wants to see her as President. I’d bet you good money even the people publicly paying lip service to backing her don’t really want her. They know she would be a disaster as President. At least as bad, if not worse than bammy. (If that’s possible) They look at how the first black President has set back race relations 40 years and realize she would do the same thing for women. That it is going to take 2 or 3 or 6 election cycles before another black man has a prayer. They don’t want clinton doing the same “for” women.

If Bush (any Bush) is an example of what it means to appear "presidential", then I'll take Trump's antics any day of the week.

And yet Trump is at close to 40% and someone else is at around 11% in one pole today.

Why it almost seems as if someone else can’t unite the base.

Donald Trump, Grand Rapids, Mi, Dec. 21

Hillary, Denver Co., Nov 24

Hillary Clinton made her first campaign stop in the Mile-High City, Nov. 24, meeting with supporters and sharing her stance on key issues.

Following a morning rally in Boulder, Clinton came to Denver for a second rally held at Manual High School. The school boasts a history of having students who have gone on to win political positions across the country, including Denver’s first African-American mayor, Wellington Webb, who spoke at the rally.

“One of the things I learned early on in my career is to find people that are willing to fight for everyone,” Webb said, speaking to attendees before Clinton’s arrival. “Hillary Clinton has always been on the front line willing to fight for women, for children, for families. She’s there when others aren’t and she doesn’t back down and she’s willing to fight for those issues that will make America great.”

The rally drew a crowd of nearly 1,000 supporters who packed themselves into the school’s gymnasium. Some came with signs made in support of Clinton while others led chants, all of them eager to see the presidential hopeful in person.

After an introduction by Denver mayor Michael Hancock, Clinton came up onto the stage to Katy Perry’s “Roar” and the thunderous cheers of the crowd. Once things settled down, she began speaking.

Hillary, Boulder, Co., Nov.24

BOULDER — Flanked by a power lineup of some of Colorado’s most influential Democrats, including former U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, U.S. Rep. Jared Polis and state House Speaker Dickey Lee Hullinghorst, Hillary Clinton made her first official campaign stop in this college town on Tuesday since announcing her current run for the White House.

Speaking before a crowd of 1,000 supporters at the Boulder Theater, Clinton unleashed a familiar crescendo of economic policy proposals aimed at bolstering the middle-class, chief among them calling for equal compensation for men and women and debt-free college, as well as investments in early-childhood education.

Grand Rapids to Muskegon is about 45 miles.
Grand Rapids to Holland is about 35 miles.
Muskegon to Holland is about 30 miles.
So the area is pretty rural.

Denver itself has a population of 663,862 and is the 21st most populace city in the US.
The Denver-Aurora, CO Combined Statistical Area comprising the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area, the Boulder, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area, and the Greeley, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The United States Census Bureau estimates that the population was 3,214,218 as of July 1, 2012,
