Levin: “I’m Sick and Tired of Stupid Talk!”
Conservative Review ^ | January 19th, 2016 | Phil Shiver

Posted on 01/18/2016 6:23:12 PM PST by Isara

Four days since the debate and everyone is still talking about non-issues like Ted Cruz’s citizenship, his loan filing error, and “New York values.”

Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin advises conservatives not to get dragged into the media’s games or campaign squabbles, because he knows “if we do not nominate a solid conservative, we’re going to lose our country.”

He reminds the American people that this election is about them—not about Donald Trump, or Marco Rubio, or Ted Cruz, and goes on to ask—especially those furthering the “stupid talk”—a very serious and humbling question:

“Do we want to save the country or not?"

Listen to the full segment here:

Levin: "I'm Sick and Tired of Stupid Talk!" (Audio)

Levin reminded listener to not forget who the real enemy is: The Democratic Party represented by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Sen. Ted Cruz was once unanimously considered a hero of conservatism, a fighter against the Establishment, only now to have his words twisted and to be cast as a foe.

Levin believes the  American people don’t have to be dragged into such stupidity.

I cannot argue with you about that. If you really believe it, you will find people who agree.

Most people don’t believe it and even the Trumpster won’t file a suit because the likes the issue too much.

“...Levin is Establishment and so are Rubio and Jeb.”

BUT, Levin needs to maintain ratings, and talking much about anything but the front runners at this point will cause listeners to roll off and listen to classic rock.

That’s from November of 2015..

Cruz would never accept it, and he’s not gonna offer..all that was drama anyway...Nobody picks a running mate at this point. you have to go through the primary to see where you weaknesses are before you can even consider a short list.

The big talkers are all too afraid to address the very worst problems facing us. The problems that, if left unhandled, will destroy this nation without question.

Frankly, I’m sick to death of partisan politics. I want a General Patton to go to Washington and begin taking a sledgehammer to fedzilla.

I want a true American patriot to stand up and defend the American people from the political cartel that is eating out the very substance and life from this country.

I want a leader who doesn’t give two sh!ts about political correctness and favored minorities, but is willing to run counter to every evil construct that’s been growing in America these last hundred years.

We’re going to lose it all, if someone doesn’t step in and overturn the whole rotten edifice. Should that someone not be elected, there’s only one other solution to save our nation for our progeny, and NO ONE wants to go there.

That, sir, is pure and utter nonsense! There isn’t one iota of evidence that Cruz is a sleeper for the establishment, which, to a person, damned near reviles him for his refusal to “go along to get along” with the other members of the “world’s greatest deliberative body”. His closest ally in the Senate is Senator Mike Lee, who is no “sleeper”, no progressive and a constructionist in the truest sense of the word.

While I, too, question his votes on a couple of issues, he has been the only member of the Senate to oppose the Obama, McConnell, Boehner/Ryan agenda, going so far as to work with members of the House Freedom Caucus to oppose the agenda. I’m not aware of any US senator who has ever worked with the House to oppose Senate legislation.

Why are so many who worship at the altar of Donald Trump willing to completely ignore his moderate to liberal past and take every word he says as if it came from a burning bush? And how many people in Donald Trump’s position as leader of a multi-billion-dollar company are not beholden to the interests of large, multi-national banks? Furthermore, does the fact that George Soros invested $160 billion in one of Trump’s enterprises not bother you in the least? That, in and of itself, does not mean Trump is a pawn of, or sleeper for, George Soros, but it sure gives me pause.

Should Cruz not win the nomination and not become the VP pick, you will see that the RNC and its minions not only oppose Cruz, but do everything within their power to ensure he isn’t re-elected, just as they are positioning to do with Mike Lee.

wow, so according to the new wizards of smart on Free Republic, Mark Levin and Ted Cruz are the problem Beam me up. This place needs a fumigating.

I don't think it's a matter of FReepers considering Levin and Cruz to be part of the problem. Personally, I believe they are part of the solution. But we are a well-read bunch, high information voters. We've perused the word's of Jay, Hamilton, Bingham, etc. We know there is a genuine Constitutional issue here. But the talk we are receiving from Levin and Cruz is "nothing to see here ... move along". It's frustrating when the liberals pull that stunt, but we expect it of them because ... well, they work off "feelings" instead of "logic". When someone we trust is a genuine conservative pulls that stunt ... well, it's feudin' time. Cruz should know better and change his strategy quick. Embrace the conundrum. Make a campaign promise to officially request the Supreme Court provide clarification once he is seated as POTUS. Then ... we'll stand down ... and, I believe, most of us will support him with our vote. Not all -- lots of hard core Trump fans here too -- but "most" I think.

There are two, perhaps more, legitimate legal opinions on what is a intentionally ambiguous 2 words, that were inserted into the Constitution.

John Jay had two foreign born children, and he was certainly not the only one.

The original intent, we do know was national security.

Ambiguity is often a tool.

This is not what you would call settled law interpretation, but getting it settled may well be impossible as it might remain as it has for over 200 years as ambiguous.

There is a modern 20th century interpretation that has a majority agreement, and that opinion is not the one you are using.

Perhaps there will now be a 21st century interpretation, but it won’t be from this case. it is purely political and thus lacks standing.

If Cruz isn't a nbc then trump isn't either.

By what possible logic or historical understanding?

Ted was born in a foreign country, to one US citizen parent.

Donald was born in America to two US citizen parents.

The difference in quality between their respective grades of citizenship isn't even debatable. The Framers clearly intended for US presidents to possess the latter grade, which Donald has.

What they did was humanitarian in nature.

Neither of them are quiet about illegal and unconstitutional immigration. Both have attacked Obama on the topic, and Ted has done it for many years.

Just keep it up bub.....You will end up with a split that will not heal before the general, and that does not bode well for any candidate.
