FR has been taken over by the anti Trump idiots. Not worth reading anymore since I am one of the millions of Republicans that support Trump. Trump will win the nominations and it scares the insane crooked jackasses in America. Their days are numbered by a real hero.

with their unparalleled understanding and dedication to the constitution

Too often a certain snide moral superiority trumps their devotion to limited government.

... just vote for him.

That is really all you've got, stick with it.

Sad that certain words make you feel inferior.

No flames, just facts.

No question, Trump has many virtues. He fears on one. He rejects PC. He is a great businessman. He loves our country and hates what’s been done to it. Those are all good. But......

The real issues are character and values.

Reagan was humble. Trump is a narcissist - not a self-deceived one like Obama. Compare how the two react to their opponents. Reagan laughs. Trump makes personal attacks and assassinates verbally.

Reagan’s conversion was real and deep. Trump’s conversion seems more based on self-interest. Not unlike a “jail-house” conversion, it can change with circumstances.

Obama’s true character was known by conservatives long before he was elected.

Trump’s true character will also come to light if he is elected. And many true conservatives will find themselves deeply regretting following a populist. Just one example may be single-payer healthcare......

What are his core values? When has he ever spoken of the need to follow the Constitution, or downsize government?

Yes, a million times better than any Democratic alternative.......

Just saying.........

I have had very few encounters with Cruz supporters where attitudinally they weren't bigoted and condescending.

It’s hard for some to see Trump as leading a new movement, because they thought THEY were the movement.

I agree with about 85% of what you said. I don't believe I will be disappointed because I think I have a good sense of the gap between hyperbole and reality.

Here's the thing: I don't believe Cruz can get elected. I think his ick factor, finger wagging preacher auroa will be totally rejected in the general by the exact same people trump is bringing in, minorities, latinos, blue dog democrats.

that's how I see it.

Nothing a Cruz supporter can say or do can make me feel inferior. What I think is sad is that their moral and ideological superiority is damaging them more than it does the people they exhibit to.

Nor was Reagan ever a “ leftist.” Leftism was a fairly new thing in America before the 1930s and it was certainly not a term interchangeable with “democrat” the way it has become today.

I just scroll and don't engage the wild eyed zealots. I have noticed the trump supporters are self-moderating themselves a little better, including me. I went off the charts once or twice and was not proud of myself. But then I really do love Donald John :)

The Democrats of the 50’s are not very similar to the Democrats of today, that’s for sure... The majority still loved their country and hated the communist. Pretty much the opposite today.

Oh, no, not the puppies.

But you might be right.

Please change it to bunnies, though.

A good summary.

The Trump supporters don’t care about the facts.

Their response is he’s going to “make America great” and conservative constitutional principles are so yesterday. That their strong guy will show us how its done. They expect the right result with the wrong principles. It never works.

Hey, that was a funny post. The puppy thing hurt a little but I can take it.

It had way too much truth in it.

Don’t let the Trumpsters get you down.

Well this is awkward. Is this where I'm supposed to acquiesce to your moral and ideological inferiority, or apologize for my superiority?

I thought your hostility to the concept of intelligence was a horrid piece of self damnation, but that last bit manages to top it. At least you are blissful.

Is that the new tactic of the Trump people?

Claiming good ole boy ignorance as a reason not to debate detailed points?

Well, dang it, I eat bacon too, but I don’t like Trump.

So true and so scary.

We really need to get rid of Obama Care. It’s very important to daily lives and our economy.

We also need to get rid of the IRS. The worst government agency ... it can abuse and scare the heck out of people. We should not have to fear our government.

I don’t think Trump cares about those issues. He never mentions them. And the things he does promise ... yeah, we want to hear we will get rid of radical islamist and muslim immigration but he has no plans ... he’ll just do it by gosh.

And he will build a wall, a dang big wall and make Mexico pay for it. Will someone ‘splain to me how he’s gonna do that?

And he’s already admitting, “And then, after I kick every last one of them out ... just watch me ... I will start letting the ‘good ones’ back in.

Definition of ‘the good ones’ ... cheap labor who’ll work for my capitalist buddies.

We can do better, people, but as Jesus once said, “but you would not.”
