JANUARY 22, 2016 ~ CONSISTENTCONSERVATIVES
This is an emergency means for us to keep in touch with our FRiends, who are real Conservatives, in case of purging. Or, if there is no purging, do we really want to continue our discussions in the forum where the owner despises us for not supporting his non-Conservative candidate?
My purpose is to figure out what to do to continue our discussions to advance Conservatism.
Just to be very clear here, I never once voted for Obama. NEVER.

Thank you Mr. Robinson for all you do to give refuge to J Random Conservative and for supporting civil discourse on the pressing matters of the day. I typically cut through the noise to learn what I can every single day. That noise had become nearly impossible to cut through. I suspect that situation will dramatically improve. Bravo.

I was around during the guiliani purge and I wasn’t purged and I supported him.

If anyone was banned for supporting Cruz, it was because how they posted, nastily. Catherine of Arogan is one I recall. She isn’t banned yet. She’s a troll.
If that does it for you, I am speechless. Did you read that legalization/citizenship link? Cruz is for enforcing federal law, he says, that requires, “IF YOU ARE APPREHENDED, you will be deported”. What does that tell you?
Thanks be to God, there is one grown up out there who is serious about leadership on this issue. This is why he is smoking the field.

Nobody wants you to go away (as far as I know). But we all know you take it beyond just being unwilling to tolerate any viewpoints that don’t align with your own.

Or maybe, an ammendment overturning judicial rulings which fly in the face of the 10th ammendment?
It is a state rights issue unless covered in the Constitution. The outrageous judicial activism of the USSC needs to be reigned in once and for all.
Could Trump or Cruz be counted on to stand for either of these proposals? How about for overturning Roe v. Wade? How about for preserving the private property rights from local governments attempting to abuse their eminent domain authority to line the pockets of crony capitalists? How about overturning the monstrosity which is universal healthcare (Obamacare)? How about actually sending home everyone who came here illegally, permanently?
Of all of these issues, who can be counted on: Trump or Cruz?
There really is only one answer.
One man plays lip service with a lifetime of playing either both sides of the fence or flat out fighting for the other side, while the other man has a proven track record of defending all of the above plus MANY more of the principles we all hold dear.
Ted Cruz is the only viable candidate we have whom fits the bill.

You’re right, there is no need to entertain you further, when you apparently have so much slander there in front of you, to assemble and disseminate. Carry on.

A big part of the reason Trump supporters and Cruz supporters are having such problems is that things that are just not true about Trump keep getting posted day after day.
We provide proof and documentation but it is completely ignored by Cruz supporters.
Trump didn’t vote for Obama in 2008 or in 2012. He endorsed and campaigned for McCain in 2008 and he endorsed Romney in 2012.
He held off endorsing anyone in 2012 until after the primary because he was hoping Sarah would get in so he could endorse her.
He also endorsed Poppy Bush and was at the replublican convention. I don’t know if he endorsed GW Bush or not but I think he was a registered republican at that time.
While it is true he supported single payer healthcare in 2000 he said in 2011 that he realized it would not work and that Obamacare is a disaster. He said we should be able to buy insurance across state lines so insurance companies have to compete for our business and we need serious tort reform including loser pay.
He also says he is pro life now. It is up to you to decide if you believe him or not. I believe if congress put a bill on his desk to de-fund PP he would sign it.
Most of the things Cruz supporters post day after day about Trump are either outright lies, distortion, or comments taken out of context.
You may still believe that your fellow FReepers have taken leave of our senses or are following a cult or whatever it is Cruz supporters think of us but consider the people who approve of Trump that actually know him personally. Do you think Sarah Palin or Phyllis Schlafly, or Jerry Falwell Jr are stupid or cultists?
Please consider for a moment that maybe they have reasons for supporting him. If you haven’t heard the introduction Jerry Falwell Jr have Trump at his Libert U speech you should.
It pretty much sums up the way we Trump supporters see Trump.
You can’t produce a list of “intolerant/rude” posts of mine because I choose not to interact like that, even when others choose that style when commenting to me (or about me).
Your viable candidate will remain in the Senate. You can’t wish him out. The American people won’t buy him in a general. No sale.
During the Clinton years, I was active duty, and FR provided me with an outlet that was desperately needed.
I've periodically taken time off from Freeping, sometimes for months as life has unfolded.
But you've always been there for me. God bless.
And folks, all this will pass. All the fighting is just because we're all committed to restoring America. Yeah, we may disagree on what route we take, but we have the same destination in mind.

Hey, i was just reading through this thread, and I saw your post asking notorious Trumpers if they will vote for Cruz.
I hope that I qualify as a notorious Trumper, and I thought I’d answer.
Despite the fact that you may have seen me clobbering Cruz with his vote on the Corker Bill, and basically questioning whether or not he is a true conservative constitutionalist or an actor in the kabuki theater...
If Ted Cruz is the nominee, I will absolutely vote for him without any hesitation. My primary vote will go to Trump, but if Cruz wins, I’m behind him.
I can’t say that about the other candidates, but I will give my vote to Trump/ Cruz in that order.
I mean that sincerely.
