Regrouping

JANUARY 22, 2016 ~ CONSISTENTCONSERVATIVES

This is an emergency means for us to keep in touch with our FRiends, who are real Conservatives, in case of purging. Or, if there is no purging, do we really want to continue our discussions in the forum where the owner despises us for not supporting his non-Conservative candidate?

My purpose is to figure out what to do to continue our discussions to advance Conservatism.

Piece he is hawking is from a pro-Trump Russian blogger.

We know you are part of the "Consistent Conservatives." Open the link in a new tab and go to the source. It was a hit piece on Trump from PBS.

Try not to go DU on us.

...[ #535 snipped ]...

Well that's an opus if I ever saw one. Complete with attacking Jim, his website, Nazi references and even made up nonsense about the Caucus threads. I'm not trying to start trouble, but the author cannot possibly be more than a 16 year old girl because of all that whining and crying.

That is exhibit-A prime example of the Safe Space syndrome.

When I have time I will read it with the same attention I gave the Unabomber manifesto.

If you manage to elect The Donald, I sincerely hope that your every wish comes true for his presidency. I may even vote for him if he is nominated. I note that he is too committed to turn back in his stands against the immigration, and in favor of the Second Amendment, and in his commitment to good treatment of our veterans. He may have a few other specific positions I would approve. I take him at his word on those things. I am verrrrrry suspicious as to the timing of his sudden discovery that he claims to be pro-life. Whatever else he may be, a social conservative is not among the accurate descriptions that may be applied to him. I have been far too involved in the pro-life movement to tolerate being trifled with on this issue. WHO and WHAT would he appoint to SCOTUS and other judgeships? Crickets!

He might well repeal Obozocare because it offends his common sense as a businessman who has enjoyed success through sensible business decisions. Ben Carson is a truly great pediatric neurosurgeon but that does not qualify him for POTUS. The Donald has been a world-class businessman but one who prides himself on The Art of the Deal. McConnell, Ryan-o, Cornyn, Alexander, Corker, Cockroach, Mookowski, Kevin McCarthy and a supportive cast of Congresswhores spend their entire lives playing Let's Make a Deal with their nation's enemies to benefit the megabucks donor class who finance them, and buy and sell their souls. We have enough of that already and we need not give the corrupt wheelers and dealers of K Street, Wall Street and US Chamber of Crony Commerce a new corrupt ally in the White House.

If Trump is elected, I hope he proves me wrong and you right because our country would desperately need that but I am skeptical as hell of The Donald. Right now the best reasons to vote for him are that he is NOT the Arkansas Medusa, the Vermont Comrade or Nanny Bloomberg. Is that REALLY all it takes to get us to vote for him? That is the same argument given to vote for Moral Monster Mitt Romney which I did not do and also to vote for McCain, Dubya, Dole (Old Man Dole is a vacant old soul), Bush the New World Order Elder, Feckless Ford and Tricky Dick. Is Trump provably better than ANY much less ALL of them for whom I voted and am therefore ashamed? He has not sold it yet and, if he "moderates" after nomination, that will seal it that he is nothing but an establishment stooge.

If lies are flying here, it is a two-way proposition and that has to stop.

"Loser Pay" is insurance company propaganda for chilling any attempt by the injured with assets to obtain just compensation for fear of adding financial ruin to their state of injury. Meanwhile, Simon LeGree who assures you that you are in goods hands with good old bloodsucker Auto Insurance. Mother Aetna, The Hartford, The Maryland, Travelers' and their ilk are in no danger of bankruptcy and, if they were, it would be through mismanagement not over generosity to the injured. Enact "loser pays" and no capable plaintiff's trial lawyer will litigate a case without being p[aid by the hour just like the insurance company lawyers who bleed the company somewhat dry at $250 to $500 PER HOUR and then, the bonus is that IF they persuade a jury to rob the injured widows and orphans, they will then ask a percentage of attorney's fees recovered from the "greedy" widows and orphans and those rendered brain dead and amputees by their injuries.

Finally, I have a world of respect for 91 year old Phyllis Schlafly, a giant among conservatives, and for Sarah Palin, a more recent movement figure. I have little knowledge of Jerry Falwell, Jr., other than he is presumably the son of Jerry Falwell, Sr. Each is every bit as entitled to make a POTUS choice as I am. I choose Cruz. As to Trump voting for McCain, so did I so I cannot very well criticize him for that vote. Voting for Moral Monster Mitt Romney is no better than voting for Obozo and I did not vote for either. Trump is tainted by the verrrrrry poor judgment of voting for Romney. Has he apologized or does he own everything that Moral Monster Mitt Romney is, has always been and always will be?

Thank You girl friend!!!

At last someone who knows how great Free Republic is, and will defend it as we all are doing...some of us, on restricted incomes, donate when we can, some of us are monthly donors, and glad to pitch in and support this great site...

I have been here for 15 years, have had my say about things, some good, some bad, but Free Republic is a place we all meet and make FRiends, and I have made a lot of friends here...

I like the quality of this site, I love to read about other peoples opinions, some I agree with, some I don't, but you won't find a better site than this nor will you find a better person than Jim Robinson...the man we all love and support and thank him everyday for the service to his Country!!!

GO. FREE REPUBLIC. GO!!! GO. AMERICA. GO!!! and GO.TRUMP.GO!!!

Oh man, that is some pretty nasty stuff.

Conservatives sounding like the people at DU.

We are in the midst of a rebellion and restoration.

They are still thinking that this is an election as usual and that the whole US is automatically going full on conservative.

Won’t happen until we reset. Too many have been indoctrinated to swing all the way from one direction to the other.

Happens every election cycle, someone starts a new site (was that other one new or already existing) but anyway, every election cycle people get ticked off because everyone doesn’t agree with them and they start a new place. After a year or so, it’s down to no people posting or just the same handful who all agree and it dies.

Good luck folks, go to your other site, you’ll be back. There is no comparison to FR.

Let me know when notorious Trumpers answer this question:

If Cruz is the nominee, will you vote for him?

Well, I may not be notorious but I do support Trump.

Of course I'd vote for Cruz, with enthusiasm even! And to stop Hillary I'd vote for any of the other candidates, even Jeb, as disgusting as that would be.

Hillary must be stopped.

Over Hillary, I will vote for the town drunk.
However in all honesty, Bush & Kasich are creeping me out over their OPEN AMNESTY agenda. Rubio has made a turn in right direction, so he is better than those two. Cruz was for path to legal status 2 years ago, but also has made a turn in the right direction.

My #1 agenda is dealing with the illegals and slowing down legal immigration.
My #2 agenda is to stop getting screwed by China ($505 Billion trade deficit every year). That is the main cause so many good middle class jobs have disappeared. I would rather have a good job and pay 25% higher price for American made stuff, than have no job and buy cheap stuff at Wal-Mart.

I will campaign against all neocons in primaries,
but will vote against Hillary in general. I have had it up to my eyeballs with futile, money wasting, wounded warriors creating, wars in the middle-east. They are not ready for democracy and tolerance. They are not the same as India or Thailand or Singapore.

Turning on JR, that’s unforgivable. And accusing him of the things they accused him of, and insulting him like that..? I am ashamed and feel dirty that I’ve been around them on FR. We never knew we were hanging around such low-class trash.

Haha. A blurb in the news I saw the headline of said that the Unabomber, wherever he is, in jail I guess, is still writing his screeds. Perhaps he’s one of these people on “CommittedConservative”—except when HE says committed, he means COMMITTED.
