Trump, sons plot Cabinet posts they'll take as presidency gets 'very real'
Washington Examiner ^ | 2/3/16 | Paul Bedard

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump is already looking ahead to forming his top White House team and is considering one of his sons as the head of the Interior Department.

In an interview with Petersen's Hunting, he offered both his sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, as the cabinet secretary because they are hunters and anglers and members of key conservation and Second Amendment groups.

In the interview with editor Mike Schoby, Trump said that "ideally" he wants an outdoorsman to run the agency that manages federal land.

"Ideally yes, they'd be better at it," said Trump.

Forgot about the funds. Dang communist budget. On the county level money is appropriated for each prisoner in the state prisons. Ever wonder about why court appointed lawyers usually fail?

with this premature sign of nepotism,

President: John F. Kennedy

U.S. Attorney General: Robert F. Kennedy

U.S. Senator: Edward Moore (Ted the swimmer) Kennedy

and the list of political Kennedys goes on......

But I digress and address your statement: "his sons being what they are and may intend to continue being,".....

HUH!

You have absolutely no such knowledge of what his children will be and that makes your statement classic of the ignorance that is inherent of the current MSM.........Sheesh!

OKAY-—with this premature sign of nepotism, I think i know Trump a little better. And I don’t like it. I have seen one or both of his sons proudly standing over an elephant they’d slaughtered. Not Okay by me, in fact, disgusting. If he persists in this, his sons being what they are and may intend to continue being, he may have lost my vote.

What's wrong with killing elephants?

It takes serious acreage to support an elephant. If the game on reserves in Africa are not managed intellegently, the elephants and other wildlife will proliferate to the point where the locals will have no choice but to take much more drastic measures to manage things so they won't a choice between the wildlife and their own ability to feed themselves.

If you had elephants marching across your backyard uprooting trees, you might feel somewhat differently about it.

Plagiarism will get you nowhere. That aside, until Roe v. Wade is overturned, federalism and states’ rights are a farce from the federal judicial perspective IMO. The right to bear arms and, by extension, laws infringing thereon are US Constitutional issues. Trump clumsily implies the solution to eliminating gun-free school zones as a federal law superseding states’ rights, but that’s not where the solution lies IMO. State laws creating gun-free zones in proximity to schools are per se unconstitutional and should be successfully challenged in federal court on that basis, notwithstanding states’ right to exercise police powers. Federal preemption might provide another judicial avenue to accomplishing the same goal, but I’ve not studied that enough to have a firm opinion.

And I don't like it. ...

Concern troll, huh? This is not a legitimate concern. Trump has a business to run, and his children are involved with that. While Donald is making America Great Again, there are lots of buildings and grounds to develop and maintain.

The Cruz conniption goes on... and Teddy Bares believe any lie, hook, line and sinker! Trump has made no such premise (though it's fun to see the Teddy Bares lick it up)!!!

Teddy Bares live in the mud these days, since they have nothing but lies and misrepresentations to repeat from Cruz! So sad. His investor/lenders will be disappointed that there money didn't buy what they expected!

It was a good reply and I agree with it. I wasn’t sure what you were thinking based on your first brief post.

The one thing I am not certain of is a state’s lack of authority to limit firearms carry in schools. Public schools aren’t really public places so much as they are state institutions. Firearms aren’t permitted in court houses for example and you don’t hear 2nd A supporters calling that unConstitutional. It’s a fine line and I don’t know how that would shake out.

Thanks to Bobby Kennedy, he wouldn’t be allowed to put his sons in the cabinet, or at least there would a court fight over the constitutionality of the law if he tried.

You think I care what some knucklehead court judges say? Nobody voted for 'em! Ted Cruz isn't eligible to be President! Donald Jr. and Ivanka are! Besides there's nobody better qualified to be Vice President and Secretary of State than a Trump! End of story!

RE:”Thanks to Bobby Kennedy, he wouldn';t be allowed to put his sons in the cabinet, or at least there would a court fight over the constitutionality of the law if he tried.”

We are talking about Trump here.
He doesn't have to follow the rules, that's why he always wins.

Around the time of the last (Megyn Kelly) debate ~ a week ago a Trumpster here told me that Trump might not even debate the Dem candidate.

Said ‘No rules, only results’ (for Trump)

I didn’t undersrand your post until I read it three times. Seems to suggest I am a Cruz supporter and I am feigning “concern” over a Trump statement that turns me off. I am decidedly NOT a Cruz supporter, still support Trump, and will vote for him, regardless of how little I like his elephant killing son. (The New Sec. of the Interior???) Good luck on that appointment.
