CNN Exit Polls ^ | 02/09/2016 | CNN

See link for breakdown. Trump dominates everything. Men, women, young, old, graduates, non-graduates, moderates, conservatives, very conservatives. There is not a single category he did not dominate. Trump's huge leads among very conservative and conservative are also very interesting:

For just Conservative: Trump 36% vs Cruz 15%. For Somewhat Conservative: Trump 36% vs. Cruz 9% For Very Conservative: Trump 35% to Cruz 23%

I started posting here in 2007. Perhaps I was a bit late to catch Levin’s activities here. Interesting that you say he was sort of rough around the edges, but it’s not surprising. He’s got a reputation as being a ‘my way or the highway’ kind of person.

“Dodging”? Don’t flatter yourself, pal.

You obviously haven’t noticed that you’ve already received an appropriate response to your pouty little question.

The real dodge is the fact that you’re trying to change the subject of this conversation, which is about the fact that Trump performed better in every demographic than Cruz did..

I’ll tell you again - take a long cool drink of reality. It’ll clear your head and make you feel much better.

It gives Cruz clear data from the field that he is wasting his time and other people’s money.

By dropping out now, he can help himself by focusing on his current job from which he is truant.

I was marveling at this very point with my husband last night. Its hard to believe that Christie, Kasich, Rubio, Cruz all are being paid to show up at the Governor’s office or or Senate when they are obviously spending all of their time and energy on the campaign trail.

Do they take unpaid leave while they are doing this? Its appalling when you really think about this...

Only in politics can you expect to be paid your full salary while you are actively trying to ditch your current job.

Ten percent of a state that has 1.5 million, wow that is like letting my side of town vote and one out of every ten homes went to the polls. Farmers and liberals decide the potus choice how sad.A crazy commie, and a crazy capitalist.

“...The real dodge is the fact that you’re trying to change the subject of this conversation, which is about the fact that Trump performed better in every demographic than Cruz did...”

No, Trump did perform well across the spectrum. No issue there. It would have been shocking if he *hadn’t* given the political makeup of NH with it’s socialist-dem and RINO-gope infestation. I posted that more than once prior to the NH primary.

But back to your dodge, you said, “...They’re toast, as are all of the scribblers who contributed to the smear Trump campaign over the last few months...”

Well, by feeling confident enough to exclaim “they’re toast” after a blue-state primary goes to a blue-state RINO, at least you’ve finally found something that makes you feel good about yourself. Now be honest - isn’t that what is most important to you?

So far, you haven’t been at all honest, now have you?

No, I don’t think that 100 percent of the non-Trump voters will automatically move to someone else. But neither do I think that all the present Trump voters will stay put either once a real race emerges. A lot of Trump’s support is from people who just want to be with a winner.

Yes, but I don’t think anyone threatened to break Trump’s legs and actually be able to get near him to do it like the unions threatened Reagan. And if you say 9/11 changed Trump, he was still contributing to Democrats long after that.

Your numbers are inaccurate.

New Hampshire has 1.326 million people of which 20% are under 18 years of age (265,000).

http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/33000.html

The possible number of New Hampshire voters for the primary is 1,035,000.

I think that a total number of ballots cast in both primaries is approximately is over 494,000, bringing the percentage voting to over 47.7%.

It far surpassed the 2012 of 31.1%

You’re trying to make an argument which is based upon a false premise, i.e., that there are no actual conservatives in the state of New Hampshire, which is flatly untrue.

I don’t dispute the fact that the majority of voters in that state fall outside that demographic, nor that the state falls in the blue column, but the fact is, a wide range of demographics exists there, and they were all carefully polled as to how they voted.

The results of that survey show that Trump dominated across the board. This is now widely being discussed and acknowledged by everyone who’s paying attention. I suggest you catch up and join the conversation.

“If that fails join us. “

Well thanks for the invite!

Trump is nominated, I probably will have to come out and vote for him to stop a Commie for being elected. But I certainly don’t believe a single thing Trump says. I think his playing on the fears and anger of a shell shocked conservative base that has endured 7 years off hell. I think Tru,p is just saying what we want to hear, but has absolutely no intention on carrying it out. I feel pretty certain he will govern as a NY Liberal and fear the kind of justices he will put on the SCOTUS.

They only way I will have confidence in Trump is if he is elected and actually does what he says he will do. Then I will be a believer.

It’s fine if you remain unconvinced of Trump’s sincerity. He hasn’t sealed the deal with every conservative. Many remain skeptical. However, the findings of the New Hampshire primary show that he’s done so with most of us.

Perhaps Trump will never gain your support. I don’t think it’s realistic to expect any candidate to draw 100% of any demographic. The plain fact is though, that Trump is where he needs to be with the conservative right to win.

That’s an absolutely moronic statement. 35% in an 8 way race is unheard of. Thanks for playing though...Try again later with a more lucid comment.

“...You’re trying to make an argument which is based upon a false premise, i.e., that there are no actual conservatives in the state of New Hampshire...”

Not at all. Of *course* there are conservatives to one degree or another in NH. And they are quite likely *vastly* outnumbered by the socialist-dems and GOPe-RINOs. Still, no reasonable person with just a *modicum* of intellectual honesty, would have any expectation that a conservative candidate with Cruz’s record would dominate in a decidedly left-leaning state like NH. By the same token, it is reasonable to expect that a blue-state republican in a blue-state primary would find kindred souls among the voters.

Did trump enjoy the lion’s share across a broad band of demographics in NH? Absolutely! And for that, we are spared one of his signature Trumper-Tantrums!

Did Cruz outperform my expectations as well? I had him *maybe* in 4th prior to the primary, so yes he did. Given the fewer resources he expended in NH campaigning, I’m thinking Cruz is surprised as well.

That puts both trump and Cruz batting .500. One state each.

Which brings us back to your dodge, you said, “...They’re toast, as are all of the scribblers who contributed to the smear Trump campaign over the last few months...”

Well, by feeling confident enough to exclaim “they’re toast” after a blue-state primary goes to a blue-state RINO, at least you’ve finally found something that makes you feel good about yourself. Now be honest - isn’t that what is most important to you?

A “Campaigning Conservative Donald Trump” turning into a “Leftist President Donald Trump” will disappoint 100% of pro-Donald Trump voters.

Nope, but it reflects on ability to attract followers, be likable, be able to make good deals. Otherwise nothing is accomplished. What exactly has Cruz accomplished in 3+ years you can brag about? Tried to shut down government and failed? Please list his actual accomplishments. May be I am missing something.

Your pathetic attempts at projecting your own sad sack state of mind onto me have passed the point of mere amusement, and are now becoming something of real concern.

You obviously need someone to spar with because of your candidate’s deeply humiliating loss last night. You seem to think that if you can win an argument with just one Trump supporter, you’ll somehow redeem your former sense of confidence and rightness.

Don’t know why you glommed on to me, or why you continue to pose your ridiculous question (which I won’t dignify with a response). I can only imagine that you’re just so hurt and disturbed, that you can’t help lashing out at anyone who presents a reality-based observation that destroys your carefully crafted illusions.

Now, go ahead and make your final retort. I’m done going around in circles with you.

Now that the “press” finally has some exit polls, they are going to slowly come to the realization that Trump is for real, and the narrative that he’s just the candidate of uneducated mad yokel white men is going to fade...

He won everything in NH.. those opposed to Amnesty, those who supported Amnesty... College Educated, non College educated... he won nearly every single demographic they asked about... those who feel betrayed by republicans, those who don’t feel betrayed by republicans...

Right now, Trump needs to take down Cruz, as long as they both are around the path for an establishment politician getting the nomination remains.

“...Your pathetic attempts at projecting your own sad sack state of mind onto me...”

I’m not the one desperately seeking emotional validation for the *surprising* results of a blue-state RINO winning a blue-state primary. Who’d-a-thunk-it, right? But like I said, if that victory makes you feel good about yourself, then that’s what’s most important, isn’t it?

I've never said that, though I HAVE been arguing against YOUR 100 percent absolutism.
