I guess we’ll see soon. If Trump does become President, I won’t expect much. Maybe it won’t be as half as bad as I think. It’s possible this system of ours needs retooling because to me it looks like The People lose more ground every year no matter who is elected.

Their desire to be The Supreme Authorities blinds them to reality. It’s quite amazing. It’s making clear that the desire for truth leavened with humility, and the ability to say “wow, I was wrong, but now I’ve learned” are essential. It reveals that the conservative “experts” are a lot more self serving and biased than some or many of us suspected. Toss in some “power mad” too.

That's been one of the least palatable realizations I've had during this primary. It truly is difficult to stomach.
I mean, I've known for a long time that some right-wing pundits, talking heads, and radio hosts, were little more than establishment shills, but they've turned out to be far more numerous than I ever imagined.
It was Trump who showed a light so bright, they all were forced to reveal where they really stand. It's actually breathtaking, how few of them passed the test.
Trump has shine a bright light on everyone involved. It’s phenomenal and I never expected anything like this. It’s as though he somehow has forced every “player” to take their masks off. And the show ain’t done yet....For me, I will vote for Trump only, that’s it. No other R candidate has what it takes to get our country off of edge of the abyss.

You can say that again. I’ll be honest. When I first heard that Trump was running, I laughed out loud, and posted a snarky bs comment to the thread where I saw it.
But that was on day one.
Within a few days, I heard his live announcement, and was riveted in place by what he said. Over the next several days I spent a lot of time reading every Trump thread on FR, then went looking for more data about the man. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I’d been badly misinformed about him, and that there was much more to the man than I’d previously understood.
He may not have the kind of polish and eloquence I prefer in an American leader , but there’s no denying that he’s got the right mind, soul, and backbone, to guide this country back from the brink.
Yes, good point. It’s interesting, because I think you’re even starting to see some liberal MSM reporters warm up to him. Of course his critics here would say that that proves he’s really a liberal. But I think it’s really a reflection of Trump’s personality and charisma, that he’s starting to win some of them over even though they don’t generally agree with his politics. Probably more wishful thinking on my part than anything else, but who knows? The dressing down he’s given them over the past few months certainly hasn’t hurt either.
