With the republican primary race now heading to South Carolina we take a look at the last verifiable polling (large sample, low MOE) which was taken by NBC and the Wall Street Journal in January (full pdf below).

Remember the golden rule of MSM polling. “When polls are silent, it generally means the outcomes are adverse to their preferred media narrative."

Cruz supporters answer this question.

Do you believe Ted when he said God told him to run for president?

Only 10k? Sounds like the new is wearing off off trumps dog and pony show. I saw that many at a Bush appearance in Little Rock when he was a candidate.

Uh yeah, 10,000!

Facts are funny things. Though you were factual, IMHO you were not really painting a clear picture.

So to paint the picture clearly, years ago, you saw Jeb’s brother (who was a fairly popular candidate) or father AFTER they had actually won the GOP nomination—and they were not sharing campaign audiences with 17 others...

So George? Bush had 10,000 at the Rally. And you said the rally for Bush was in Little Rock, population 200,000 (may have been slightly less back then).** I wonder if Bush was doing daily rallies and sometimes multiple rallies daily like Trump currently is.

Trump is not the candidate YET! However, I would be willing to bet that Trump draws an average of 10,000 per rally now, and I am certain he has had more rallies than any other candidate.

I wonder if Jeb has had 10,000 total in attendance at his appearances so far ;)

Based on what Trump is doing now, I’d be willing to bet Trump will draw double that number in Little Rock AFTER HE WINS the GOP NOMINATION...

**Oh, and Little Rock metro area has nearly 200,000 in the City, 400,000+ urban and 700,000+ metro area and Clemson has 14,000. You can add the University student population to Clemson, which gives you 35,000 (tho most towns will include a percentage of student population in their town populations). I think it is safe to say that it might be a tad easier to pull 10,000 from Little Rock than from Clemson.

Don’t you think I am painting just a slightly clearer picture?

I hadn’t heard this. Maybe someone—van Susteren, perhaps—could ask him about it. It would be helpful to know if the instructions were audible, and if so, where Cruz was when he heard/received the command. If not audible, then how did the message come? It would be a fair, and instructive, question.

...”I’m seeing no similarities to Trump at all”...

Then you’re not listening to what Trump is saying.....He’s told you you have to be flexible....He’s told you he wants Universal Healthcare...He’s told you that Planned parenthood needs to remain funded....He’s told you he would Not tear up the Iran deal...He’s told you Tax’s would go up.....He’s told you he’s considering a pro-abortion Judge for the Supreme Court......He’s told you he would make deals with the likes of Pelosi, Reid, Shulmer and others........

Are you listening??????

Trump is the first and only candidate to point out that the US has already lost its sovereignty. You Cruz supporters simply do not, and evidently CANNOT grasp the meaning and implications of that nation-destroying/nation-ending fact. Cruz certainly has no clue about it. His response is soccer balls and teddy bears.

1. Crowds never do get it right if we look to history......heck they even chose Barabbas.
Did Falwell have rallies for Moral Majority/Reagan?

And are you saying that if Cruz had a massive rally, you would be critical?

2. Have you ever been to a Trump Rally—you know, so you can actually accurately judge? I have and I can assure you it is nothing like an Obama Rally.

How do you know they are the same voters—again...I have been to a rally—not obama voters. Geez.

That was enlightening; thanks. Agree with you: Cruz supporters should acknowledge whether or not they believe this is the one true, Divine candidacy.

.....”How do you know they are the same voters”......

Because they always get on the bandwagons....or march to the latest drumbeat. They simply change signs in order to be part of the crowd.

“Plus keep in mind South Carolina does not have the hanky panky of the caucuses”

Well stated. The Lamestream media and Rafael are peddling the same balderdash about how evangelicals are locked in for Cruz.

We’ll see how well he does when he has 10 days to try fix the results instead of 10 months.

By the way, regarding dirty tricks in South Caroline keep an eye on Jeb.

As Hank2 would say: it’s a family tradition.

“Cruz supporters answer this question.

Fair point, especially since Rafael seems to think God stole Iowa for him — All Glory be to God.

Maybe my Anglo-American cultural bias is showing, but it would have been proper to credit his actual supporters.

The Kardashian campaign. If he trotted out Melanin and Ivanka, it would have been a bigger crowd.

“If Cruz has to stretch and twist things so badly, he isn’t the guy for me”

I came to the same conclusion months ago.

Cruz has an “honesty” problem.

Best thing on your list is that climate change is a hoax. Because agenda 21 is really picking up speed and scaring the heck out of me.
