U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is 'not Christian' because of his views on immigration, Pope Francis said on his way back to Rome from Mexico. The pope said, however, he did not want to advise American Catholics on whether or not to vote for Trump. In a freewheeling conversation with reporters on his flight back from a visit to Mexico, Francis was asked about Trump and some of his statements, such as vowing to build a wall between the United States and Mexico if he becomes president.

"A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian,"

Sorry Pontiff...but I will build a wall all day long, every day of the week and twice on Sundays, to keep evil away from my family.

For example, I will not build a bridge to allow evil to have unfettered access to \me or my family.

Would you build a bridge from maximum security block, where violent murderers and rapist are serving out their just sentence, to your living room?

...or to the prom where your 16 year old daughter is having her first dance?

See how ludicrous this stamen of yours is?

The US has a duty to protect its borders and to only allow those people into the country who follow the laws the US has established.

There is NOTHING unchristian about doing so. In fact...it is refreshing, and an answer to this Christian's prayer.

How's this going to play in mostly Protestant South Carolina?

I'm appalled. I thought this Francis dude couldn't get more out of line. He wants to over-run the US with mainly poor Catholics from the south? Would he let mainly poor people from south of Italy over run the Vatican?

HEY....FAUX POPE FRANCIS....TEAR DOWN THE VATICAN WALL!!

Dear Pope

Stick to being God solider and stop being a politician in a cassock and we will leave you alone.

The Pope should be taking to task the Catholic elites running the Central/South American nations for the rampant crime and corruption that is causing the illegals to try and flee their failed nations. Why doesn’t the Pope try cleaning up his own corrupt culture first, before attempting to lecture the West on anything.

The pope is a political activist, not a religious leader.

One might argue that the Pope is not a very good Christian, since he refuses to defend Christianity against the Islamic Hordes invading Europe today.

I’m not Catholic, but I sure miss John Paul II, as I am sure you do too.

I tend to believe this quote is accurate because enough confirmation has been made that this Pope did make an appearance at the border and the question is why?

Americans are not to blame for the problems of the world. America has enough problems of their own and they are presently engaged in a national debate as to how to deal with their problems of which Donald Trump is a candidate to lead that effort.

So why would this Pope be interfering in the process?

And as you asked, isn’t there a wall around the Vatican?

I would like to hear from American Catholics on this subject. I’ve asked on previous threads but so far not a peep. It’s as if they are mimicking the Muslims and turning their backs when some outrageous Imam a-hole starts preaching death to America.

So how about it Catholics? What you got to say on this?

Not only is the Vatican walled but you don’t see this Pope suggesting they create paradise in their own place, he wants migrant socialism against the productive societies.
This is the same Pope who yelled at Mexicans the other day in Morellia for being selfish and throwing him down over a disabled person in a wheelchair.
Can’t wait for this Pope to be done.

Wall around Vatican City:

If we had such walls on our borders most of our illegal immigration problems would be solved.

Well, now. Let’s see. The pope is from South America and now lives in Rome/The Vatican, right?

Why in the world would he think that he has the right to make comments about an American, hopeful, presidential candidate?

Secondly, why should anyone care what he thinks?
