I would think the only funeral invitations to presidential candidates were to Sanders, Rubio and Cruz as sitting U.S. Senators.

Trump should have said that it was a good thing that Obama did not attend because he would have spoiled the service.
Besides, Obama could not stand to observe a Christian service.
He’s no longer a candidate, but Rick Santorum was at the funeral. Television caught him as the crowd was exiting.
