If He Wins, Do We Stand With Trump?
RedState ^ | 2/21/2016 | Joe Cunningham

It's the million dollar question as we look to the possibility that Donald Trump is somehow the nominee: Do we as Republicans stand with him? Do we circle the wagons? Do we overlook everything in his past and say "You know what? Better than a Democrat."

The answer, for me at least, is decidedly "No."

Democrats don’t love the USA. Trump does.

Try to actually think about this, don’t just emote.

In what way is Trump a terrible candidate??? He won NH and swept SC! And he came in a close second in Iowa!

He’s actually a terrific candidate.

How could anyone be more liberal than:

-signing a liberalized California abortion law - 1967

-giving amnesty to millions of illegal aliens in America - 1986

-endorsing the Brady bill against the 2nd amendment - 1991
https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=UpwzAAAAIBAJ&sjid=0TIHAAAAIBAJ&pg=3945%2C5172761

-coming out in support of NAFTA - 1992

Yet Ronald Reagan did all of that

Really? “Principled Conservatism” now means “If you don’t do what I want I take my ball and go home”?

Pretty pathetic to choose complete political irrelevance over a seat at the table.

Yep that will show the Dems hey!

The Democrats will do what the Democrats will do. I'm not taking this position for them.

My boy has not won , so I am suckling at home and let the socialist or the old battle axe in power for years minimum.

Why call yourself a conservative, assuming that you do, if you will go out and vote for whoever is on the ticket regardless of whether they are a conservative or a moderate? I'm tired of compromising or holding my nose to vote. I won't do it anymore.

We need our own monster.

Ted Cruz may well be as advertised. No one knows. Four years ago, no one knew who he was.

He is young, deploy the Trump Bomb now, it is an ugly weapon of mass destruction that will result in some collateral damage, but it is required.

Alas, we have run out of time.

We are "others in arms", perfect sense of where we are and why we got here.

Somebody convince me that Trumplestiltskin is not a Democratic plant.<\i>

Makes no sense. Why not just run as a Democrat? Less competition and weaker candidates.

...where we get stuff done for the country instead of ideological posturing of bills and votes that don’t ever do anything but brand politicians for the next Election and wasting time.

That’s an excellent summary of a whole lot of disappointment over the last 20 years. *golf clap*

I live in Vermont, my votes is always wasted. I see no daylight between Hillary and Marco, both smarmy lying scumbags only in it for self aggrandizement.

“Not to mention how the MSM love him (Trump) now and if he is the nominee will be nonstop negative coverage as with all gop nominees, but he has unlimited baggage.”

Libbylu, you are right about this. The MSM is sitting on stories right now about the Mob ties, former business dealings, former personal affairs, marriages, divorces, etc. It will be non-stop and all for Mrs. Clinton’s benefit AFTER the Republican Convention.

Still, if he is the nominee, conservatives will have to once again hold their noses and support him. Better to have wild card who says some of the right things, than a Commie with a plan and the Senate and the House in her back pocket. I fear our Republic is in its last days, regardless.

I Stand With Ted.

Trump will win without your vote. It's ok if you stay home.

If he wins then I'm sure it'll be by more than one vote in Missouri. If he loses then it'll be the same thing.

The "wise" sage Earl Pitts once said, "If you ain’t gonna vote right then don't vote!"

The wise sage DoodleDawg once said if you can't vote your principles then why vote?

I guess we all get what we wish for.

Ditch the bold font, Goebbels, we get your point. We may not agree, but we get it.

I’m a Ted voter, but to see some on here throwing their toys out of the carriage is pitiful and childish.

The country hangs in the balance and the babies having temper tantrums want to stay at home because Trump won.

Not really a conservative ... Cruz fanatic.

No, Trump really isn't a conservative. It's hard to tell exactly what he is.
