Texas Sen. Ted Cruz won the straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday.
Cruz was named the winner with 40 percent of the attendees' support, while Florida Sen. Marco Rubio came in second place with 30 percent. Donald Trump, who was scheduled to speak at CPAC on Saturday morning before pulling out, came in third place with 15 percent, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich had 8 percent.

Does this Straw Poll result carry much weight in the big picture? I tend to doubt it.
This is it! Trump's poll numbers will tank now, I tell ya!
Ask Ron Paul.
CPAC was all GOP conservatives.. they were there to make a statement.. and they did. To give Ryan a standing O... they act like democrats to me. They don’t know the damage being done. From pictures, looks like the majority were younguns. That would explain it.
How many delegates does that get him?
straw man poll
Translation: Cruz wins Establishment Hacks award.
Gee....Why do I think CPAC will never get any more money from Trump.
After what I saw on TV, I would not be too happy about that. I could only take a few minutes.
My question is....
How many voters have any idea what a CPAC is?
Sounds like a sleep mask to me.
No more money? He’ll think of a reason to sue.
Precisely
This means one thing that true conservatives who are committed to conservatism support Cruz. Cruz has the solid record of standing on conservative principles. And until the GOP comes out with a nominee, I support Ted Cruz.
There is no doubt that Cruz is the choice of conservatives. That does not necessarily mean that he will get the nomination. The GOP has not nominated a conservative since Reagan.
Conservatives? Giving Ruan that kind of welcome says no
Cruz= Rand paul
Trump will likely drop out soon and endorses Cruz.
Who has won the poll in past years?
Interesting sub note: Log Cabin gets cozy with conservatives at CPAC.
