Obama Mocks Cruz: 'Where Else Could a Boy Born in Calgary Run for President of the United States?'
The Weekly Standard ^ | March 10th, 2016 | By Daniel Halper

At tonight's state dinner with Canada, President Obama took a swipe at Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, who was born in Canada.

Via the pool report:

Pool was escorted into the East Room at 8:32, where POTUS had already begun delivering his toast. POTUS spoke for about 7 minutes[.]

The toast was filed with jokes. Among them: "If things get out of hand, remember the prime minister used to work as a bouncer."

Referencing singer Justin Bieber, POTUS said Trudeau in America may well be "the most popular Canadian named Justin."

POTUS also talked about shared values of equality and opportunity, saying that's having an effect on the 2016 presidential election.

"Where else could a boy born in Calgary run for president of the United States?"

Nobody has come forward who went to college with him

Contrast this, with all of the media reports about what a PITA Ted Cruz was in college. "I was his roommate, he was a pompous blowhard", etc etc etc. If all of the reports are to be believed, then he must have been the most popular guy in college because he had about 20 different roommates his freshman year.

Meanwhile, nary a word about Obama. Particularly back in 2008, Liberals and Liberal Professors should have been elbowing each other out of the way to get in front of a microphone to brag about knowing him... "When I had an 19-year-old Barack Obama in my English 101 class, I could tell that he was something special even back then...."

Instead, we've heard nothing. Truly, this is the dog that didn't bark.

This weak, watery attack from the Kenyan communist is what you call “destroying” Cruz? Chortle!
Trump the con man has been launching far more vicious birther attacks for months and Cruz is still stronger than ever. It's like water off a ducks back.

Trump supporters are professional liars. FACT: not a single birther lawsuit(most of them launched by crazy Trump surrogates) against Ted Cruz has gone anywhere. Same as birther lawsuits against Obama went nowhere.
None of them is going to get anywhere.

That might very well be true, but it doesn't change the fact that a the son of a Cuban born in Canada is not a NBC under original intent. Cruz is doing great damage to our constitutional republic by negating the NBC clause. Now just about anyone born anywhere can serve as POTUS.

I find it ironic that the so called constitutional conservative is willing to trash the constitution to further his personal ambitions.

I have wondered about this, but have not spent the time to look at how long many of these people have been on Freerepublic. Some posters behave as though they have come straight from DU.

Agreed. I have said on several occasions that Cruz would be a good fit for SCOTUS, he does not have to be liked, rather respected for his constitutional knowledge, and refusal to bend. He is universally disliked by Democrats and Republicans, it is said.

Obama is such a little man.

He wants to be emperor of the world, though. Putin would squash him like the bug he is.

And the one thing that has always ticked me off. Obummer was raised by his white mother, then sent to Hawaii and raised by his white Grandparents, most of his life. Then he was adopted by his Indonesian Father and White Mother thru college, and ignored by his (If true) Black father his whole life.
So how does he honor the white side of his family? He ignores them, disrespects them, and insists that he is Black. Changes his name to a STRONG Black name, which is an alias legally.

And this behavior is embraced by the black community? They tout him as the first black President? How does that work. How does he know the plight of the black man, how has he been oppressed? He is a privileged 1/2 black, 1/2 white person, who never knew a day of what an average black man goes thru without privilege. IMO certainly not a black president, and certainly not representative of the Black race.

But mostly disrespecting of the people who raised him. How many Black men disrespect their mother? Very few that I know. Just sayin...

How many Ivy league, Georgetown and UC Bezerkley lawyers are in America?

What is the Democrats % of the above?

Would it be a safe bet that most of #2 would go after Cruz, pro bono with their judge peers.

Of course, there are other liberal law schools in America with thousands of liberal rat lawyer grads throughout America. Most pf these rat lawyers would love to make their bones taking out a Canadian candidate with their left wing judge buddies.

And he shoved it in our face while laughing his ass off because there's not a damn thing anyone can do about it!

obama has gotta love it. They won. We got pwned.

Now he gets to play golf all the time and use the plane whenever he wants to go wherever he wants. And all of it paid for with other people's money! Life is good, suckas!

I like the truth. Saying that 3 courts have ruled Cruz an NBC is not the truth. Us low info voters is esily fooled so its important to tell us truthful stuff.

But why call me a liar? So I read an article that mentioned the three states. Maybe I did not state the exact consequences, but why call me a liar? You don't even know me?

This site is not a research journal, it is a website where people share opinions.

Why call me a liar?

Because you were not telling the truth. That is a trait associated with your candidate. Now IF you did not know that what you were saying was not the truth then I apologize you calling you a liar.

And this behavior is embraced by the black community

Not to change the subject too much, but this is why I think that he's covering up his Birth Certificate. I think that it's something completely innocuous, like listing his race as "Caucasian". Hard to run as the first black president when your paper say that you're a white guy.

I'd look at it and say, "So What? He's a liberal clown, either way.". But the 98% (or whatever) of blacks who voted for him, likely would have a differing opinion.
