In the last two weeks, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump has won more delegates in primaries and caucuses, even while his opponents have launched new attacks and questions have been raised about his supporters. The week’s Economist/YouGov Poll finds Trump still at the top of GOP voters’ preference with a wider lead, while Florida Senator Marco Rubio seems most damaged by the two weeks of attacks and counter-attacks.

I don’t think Trump was at 53% nationally around March 4th. Probably in the low forties or maybe mid forties.

I always say that about national head to heads especially when it shows Cruz vs. anyone in a head to head national poll.
It is used to show trends and opinions.
It is directional.

What the radio talk show guys are behind the curve on is the mood of the country. I listened to Levin last week. I used to really love Levin, he was cogent, witty, bright as hell and seemed very principled. The last few months he seems to have put the blinders on and has become very angry, myopic and partisan. Him and Rush are locked into seeing the way they think the country is and not how it really is out there. What Levin and Rush can’t seem to come to terms with is Reagan conservatism, whatever that is, will not garner a plurality of voters necessary to be electorally relevant nowadays. Americans do have a choice to pull the lever for Reagan conservatism, at least in appearance, and they have rejected it. The voters have rejected Ted Cruz. The radio talk shows guys have become more angry, strident and condescending. That is if more people would just be evangelized to what Reagan said and believed back in 1976 we could win at the polls.

I simply want to know why everyone’s blaming Trump for being the front runner. It’s the voters who are putting him where he is. It’s all so ridiculous.
