Yeah, these precious snowflakes in power never seem to consider that there might be very unpleasant ramifications to their actions.

I predict that they will learn about those unpleasant ramifications within six months though!

Why should he? because he has a chance to win. What about Kasich—Kasich is Trump’s new found savior. Cruz is not leaving and Donald will not get the votes. The only way Cruz or trump have a chance for the nomination is if that worm gets out.

There are many who will do the same. It won’t be pretty if they try to pull this BS.

It certainly is interesting how the human mind operates. To many of us Cruz’s phoniness is painfully obvious, as are his ties to the Bushes. Yet other people are blind to those very things.

It's also interesting how people just... lie. He's one of the best U.S. Senators in the past 50 years. The character assassination on him is nothing short of disgusting. You should be ashamed of your part in it, sir.

The GOP is dead, they just don’t know it yet. If Trump gets nominated, he takes over the GOP and they are done.

I disagree...a little bit.

One of the lessons from 1980 is that the GOPe can hibernate. Unless there is a political sea change beyond anything we have ever seen or hoped for, the GOPe will be back. Sort of like Shingles.

I have heard Cruz twist something Trump said about a dozen times.

The first time I saw this was when Trump said his healthcare plan would not allow people who were destitute to “die in the street” because they couldn’t afford healthcare.

Cruz twisted this into: “Donald Trump supports socialized, single-payer healthcare FOR ALL AMERICANS.”

That is a deliberate, calculated lie. That makes Cruz a liar.

Sir.

"Cruz is my top choice by a small margin, but I’ll vote Trump. I only want one ballot at the convention." Only Trump will win on the first ballot.

That's why I said I'm voting Trump. I'm more confident that Cruz would govern as a conservative than I am with Trump, but I am 100% certain that if the party leadership controls the nomination, we will get a pro-Amnesty insider.

IF the GOPe tries to screw the people who voted in the primaries i will not vote for any GOP candidate.

So you feel justified in repeating a falsehood that Cruz is a Bushbot, when he is as far removed from that family of big government as can be, by this claim against Trump ?

I’m frankly tired of back and forth attacks against both camps. We need both men going forward, and just because I happen to support Cruz doesn’t mean I’m going to rip into Trump. Unfortunately, too many here think it is OK to do so one way or the other, when it frankly needs to stop.

Would this get Ryan out of government? He’d lose to Hillary, of course. Meanwhile, he couldn’t simultaneously run for reelection to the House, right?

Why did Cruz hire Neil Bush, who should have been in prison the last 25 years, to run his finances?

Cruz was a top policy advisor in the George W. Bush administration. Now Neil Bush is a part of his campaign’s financial team. So the accusations of Cruz being a Bush lackey is not without some supporting evidence.

I don’t know, and I don’t agree with the hiring.

If he were a “Bush lackey”, Dubya would’ve supported him or endorsed him (or at least had kind words for him). Dubya went out of his way to attack Cruz personally, not exactly a demonstration of his being a toady. Dubya knows Cruz is serious about undoing the damage he inflicted by not enforcing immigration laws, and that will earn him his eternal enmity.

I do have to wonder what the conversation between Dubya and Neil is like these days, given the former’s disgust for Cruz.

I think Bush’s harsh words for Cruz were meant for public consumption and don’t necessarily represent his true opinion of Cruz. It’s also possible the Bush doesn’t like Cruz personally but nevertheless views him as an ally.

I believe OH allows dual office-seeking of this kind; TX does.
