BREAKING=> Cruz Supporters Stage Coup – Try to Dump Phyllis Schlafly After Trump EndorsementBREAKING

YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS! CRUZ SUPPORTERS ATTEMPT COUP AT EAGLE FORUM!

Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly has been a national leader of the conservative movement since the publication of her best-selling 1964 book, A Choice Not An Echo. She has been a leader of the pro-family movement since 1972 when she led the fight to defeat the Equal Rights Amendment.

Phyllis Schlafly is 91 years-old.

On March 11, 2016 conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for President at his St. Louis rally.

But not everyone in her organization, Eagle Forum – or her family – agreed with Phyllis Schlafly’s decision.

Last week Phyllis Schlafly released several board members for disloyalty to the organization. The group was planning to hold rogue board meeting to take over the Eagle Forum.

Today the rogue Cruz supporters attempted a coup.

They held a non-sanctioned meeting and blocked Phyllis Schlafly from their conference call.

This email was sent out Monday afternoon.

St. Louis, Missouri:

“At 2pm today, 6 directors of Eagle Forum met in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting. I objected to the meeting and at 2:11pm, I was muted from the call. The meeting was invalid under the Bylaws but the attendees purported to pass several motions to wrest control of the organization from me. They are attempting to seize access to our bank accounts, to terminate employees, and to install members of their own Gang of 6 to control the bank accounts and all of Eagle Forum.

“The members of their group are: Eunie Smith of Alabama, Anne Cori of Missouri, Cathie Adams of Texas, Rosina Kovar of Colorado, Shirley Curry of Tennessee, and Carolyn McLarty of Oklahoma.

“This kind of conduct will not stand and I will fight for Eagle Forum and I ask all men and women of good will to join me in this fight.”

This is a developing story—-

Smaller words? I don’t need the snark~typical Teddy sycophant.

This thread is about Pyllis Schlafly...

You said you support any LEGAL MEANS.

I asked a very logical question what does a Coup on Eagle Forum have to do with keeping Trump away from White House?
You could have used your “small words” to answer that question, Kemosahbee...

Ooops I missed this, and want to reply-

To be fair to Slyfox, he/she worked for Schlafly for 7 years, and obviously keeps in touch with key personnel at Eagle Forum.

Whatever is going on internally, is probably being conveyed by the entrenched side, who are maligning Ed Martin & probably have been for the past year. I know they have been.

The only discussion about what has been happening to PS was here, and on a lefty site, until Hoft picked it up.

I think we agreed on the prev thread, how nice it would be for the world to be informed! So I’m glad to see a lot more convo today.

Well done!

He acknowledged publicly that he has never asked God for forgiveness. Was he lying about that? Or are my ears and eyes lying?

I'm just catching up, but I remember him saying that. It was one of those comments where I started rethinking supporting him if the candidate I liked didn't get the nomination. I believe he said this before he said PP does all kinds of good things.

-- Eagle Forum is a non-profit, correct? --

Eagle Forum Education & Legal Defense Fund has been recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible organization since 1981.

Eagle Forum is a 501(c)(4) corporation.

Individuals comprising factions within the organization have endorsed opposing candidates.

I posted the press release as I received it personally by email. Then I explained as much as I could throughout the thread. That is all I will do.

-- If this thread is any indication, while these laudable actions do happen, they happen less than 20% of the time. The clown car comment was one of the most insightful ones on this thread. --

Anybody who reads FR figures out pretty quickly that 90% of the content is void of substance, and a substantial chunk, probably more than half of the substantial content contains material falsehood.

Those who take the time to sift through the noise will be lead to source documents that are more difficult to come by in general. I know I spend hours searching for source material, but only when the subject is interesting to me.

How does that have anything to do with Cruz?

Ugh...the twisted logic of Trump supporters, I will never understand.

Yet.

Have you watched the video of his anointment being prayed over and listened to what was being said.? Did you listen to Rafael making deals in his son, the King’s name? If you haven’t, then you owe it to everyone to watch it before you blindly follow.

You’ve been here longer than I, but my impression is that things have been getting worse, and that in the era before I began lurking, things were even better.

This particular thread has been very depressing, though that may be because I’ve been mostly away for a week. The majority of the posts sound like they come from my seven and nine year old right before they are both sent to their rooms.

The more divided the party is between Trump and Cruz the more likely a uniparty member can get nominated. Trump supporters hate Cruz and won’t vote for Cruz; Cruz supporters hate Trump and won’t vote for Trump. Opportunity for someone to steal.

Fine some of the Cruz supporters may not have voted for Romney but after being indulged with “Trump is not pro-life, trump is not a Conservative” I decided to pull some covers ...

I would say something like “But you had no problem voting for the pro-abortion Romney in 2012” to which I got an affirmative reply...

suddenly its important for those same people who maligned me and other FReepers in 2012 to not vote THIS TIME for anyone not lifelong Conservative, while they had excuses about Obama 4 years ago...

WHAT ABOUT HILLARY THIS TIME ???

Meanwhile as I was pro-life before pro-life was cool, I am not betraying any set “rule” when I say if we don’t work to save our country this time there wont be any Conservatives real or imagined to vote for anyone come 2020...

Sharia Law and La Raza wont allow that luxury..

-- my impression is that things have been getting worse, and that in the era before I began lurking, things were even better. --

Election season is inherently contentious, and I don't think this one is any more or less contentious than previous. They inevitably result in splintering of the forum. Some posters leave for good. Any more or less open forum suffers from cruft and error, and the amount of each varies depending on the underlying issue and available sources. Also, an open forum is ripe for dissemination of misleading propaganda, so again, some amount of contention and open disagreement is inevitable and a good thing, IMO.

Few people bother to do the research and think for themselves, it's the way of the world.

-- This particular thread has been very depressing ... --

The subject makes it so, even if there wasn't disagreement on the thread. I sort of enjoy the flaming back and forth, it adds some spice. Plus, it illuminates personalities so they can self-segregate as each person sees fit.
