It’s on: Tensions between Trump and the GOP escalate in public fight
Washington Post ^ | Apr.15, 2016 | Jenna Johnson and Ed O'Keefe

Tensions between the Republican Party and its own front-runner erupted into a full-blown public battle as top party officials rebuked Donald Trump on Friday for alleging that the GOP primary system was “rigged” against him.

The dispute, which has been simmering for days, centers on Trump’s failure to win any delegates last weekend in Colorado, which selected its 34 delegates at a party convention rather than a primary attended by voters. All went to Trump’s chief rival, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas.

The outcome prompted a daily stream of complaints and allegations this week from Trump, who wrote in an op-ed published in Friday’s Wall Street Journal that the “system is being rigged by party operatives with ‘double-agent’ delegates who reject the decisions of voters.”

I am in absolute agreement that our two party system is the root of corruption in our federal, state and local governments. It has polarized this country beyond what was ever fathomed, if not beyond repair. But running as a candidate (no one in particular) within that party system, and then complaining about their rules does no good to get rid of that party system. If they are so fed up with the current system they need to run outside it from the start.

‘Cruz has fought GOPE for longer than trump has been a republican’

To the degree he’s fought, he’s conveniently always lost. That should be Cruz’ campaign slogan: Hire me; I lose every fight I pick.

“Paul Manafort, a long standing political fixer who lobbied for some of the most brutal regimes on earth, allegedly sexually harassed at least one employee, and who has close ties to people who are part of the Russian Mob, the organization has devolved into the archetype of the “snake pit” model of organizational behavior. Via POLITICO”

Politico? Ha! Might as well be “Mad Magazine”.

Maybe it’s the Manafort who assisted in several GOP campaigns, including Reagan’s.

“...allegedly sexually harassed at least one employee...” Does the word, “allegedly” mean anything to you? Do you grasp the definition?

Having close ties to the Russian mob. Having close ties to communist Cuba. Which is worse?

Santorum won the NON-BINDING straw poll. Romney won the delegates from those voters who went to their precincts and VOTED for delegates who were bound to a candidate. The BOLD words are important.

I recognize that you are fond of the stealing cheating meme, but you should actually read how Colorado chooses delegates instead of believing something from a blog. It wouldn’t hurt to talk to a real Republican voting resident of the state as opposed to the Boulder liberals who are whinging on YouTube.

I do support Trump but will vote for Cruz if he is chosen in their contested convention, but if the rino-sdem GOP coalitions of neocon establishment wacko birds bypass them through their evil manipulation, thenI would hope Trump runs third party so the rino GOP will be destroyed once and for all. It would take years, but maybe the US will recover from the sickness of their heart and head caused by liberalism, the faith of fools.

I love that Trump is exposing this. Back in the day when Perot was talking about Republican “dirty tricks” this was part of what he was likely referring to. He didn’t have the resources or the personality to expose it more but Trump does.

What happens when he has to face a Democrat in those states? Who will support him a few hundred delegates the RNC no longer controls?,

Exactly.

They are rigged against him. I was initially against him. Then I saw how the Republican Party hated him and the lengths they would go to defeat him. Knowing that they also hate me and my kind, I started seeing Trump in a new light. It I am alive on election day, I will vote for him. If I am dead, I will vote Democrat.

Doesn’t REALLY matter what your opinion is, PUBLIC opinion is what counts and the general public thinks this STINKS!!! Of course, your opinion doesn't matter either, does it? Or should I say "does it!!!!!!!"

This is typical Trump short-sightedness, though. While he is certainly rallying his base of support with these attacks, he is simultaneously alienating a lot of rank and file Republicans who do not appreciate his broadside smears of the entire GOP. Believe it or not, some of us actually care about holding onto Congress. And that will take winning a lot of tightly contested elections that are not helped by his condemnations of the entire party.

So yes, what he is doing now might - might - help him in the short term. But it is also making it less and less likely that the party will rally around him if he's the nominee.

Said it before - I want the GOP nominee to win, but if it is Trump and he loses, shoving that fact in all of your faces will be exceptionally sweet consolation.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He just had a meeting with them (Reese pieces) a week ago and THEN talked about what good people they were, which is it?<<<<<<<

You really don’t understand, or are you being deliberately nasty???

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, there’s a lesson my mother taught me in kindergarten. Sugar draws more flies than vinegar.

In other words, kindness will usually draw better results than a sour attitude.

By saying they were good people, he is attempting to affirm the goodness which exists in all people. Most people want to think of themselves in a positive light. Most people care about how others view them. When someone thinks well of you, you don’t want to disappoint.

If you decide to let a negative attitude take over instead, YOU are the one who looks like an ass! That’s what the rinsed penus and his cohorts are doing to themselves.

If you’ve never read the book “How to Win Friends and Influence People”..it’s a very old book.. You will see what it is that Trump does frequently.

Trump isn’t a liar. He’s trying to bring some good out of a bad situation by giving them space to save some face. He accuses them of cheating, says they are good people, the natural response should be to stop the cheating and make things right. This does give opportunity to make Trump look like a foolish liar instead of proving themselves to be dishonest.

But they are so power hungry...it’s like they are hooked on crack. They’d rather have that crack and starve to death, than do things right and reap the longer term benefits. That’s how deep the corruption goes. They can’t even see any more that the addiction is killing them. They have become drunk on the blood of those whom they seek to rule over.

Skip to comments.Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders Revealing Our Elections are Rigged: “The Illusions of Choice”
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | 4-17-2016 | sundance

Posted on 04/17/2016 3:05:41 PM PDT by smoothsailing

2016 elections(Nick Bernabe via ANTIMEDIA) Denver, CO — The 2016 election has been a wild ride, with two insurgent grassroots campaigns literally giving the political establishment a run for its money. But as the events of this presidential primary season play out, it’s becoming clear the U.S. election — and even more so, the presidential race — is a big scam being perpetrated on the American people.

Events from the last week have exposed the system as an illusion of choice and a farce. They have reinforced at least one study showing the U.S. is an oligarchy rather than a democratic republic.

The Wyoming democratic caucus took place on Saturday, purportedly to allow voters to have their voices heard in the race between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Sanders lost the Wyoming caucus by winning it with a 12 percent margin.

Wait, what?

How does one lose by winning 56 percent of the votes? This happens when the political process is, according to the New York Post, “rigged” by superdelegates. The Post summed up this “strange” phenomenon:

“[U]nder the Democratic Party’s oddball delegate system, Sanders’ winning streak — he has won seven out of the past eight contests — counts for little.

“In fact, despite his win, he splits Wyoming’s 14 pledged delegates 7 to 7 under the caucus calculus.

“Clinton, meanwhile, also gets the state’s four superdelegates — who had already pledged their allegiance to her in January. So despite ‘losing,’ she triumphs 11-7 in the delegate tally”. (link)

Even media pundits on MSNBC openly called the process rigged:...
