I was told yesterday that Trump is a liberal Democrat.

My reply:

Build the wall.
Enforce the law.
Deport them all.
End sanctuary cities.
End anchor babies.
Slap a moratorium on muslim immigration.
Cut the taxes.
Cut the spending.
Cut the regulations.
Cut the government.
Cut the debt.
Cut the EPA.
Repeal ObamaCare.
Get the feds out and allow health insurance to be sold over state lines.
Send education back to states.
Get a handle on trade.
Make trade deals in our own best interests.
Bring back capital.
Bring back manufacturing.
Bring back jobs.
Strengthen the economy.
Defend the second amendment.
Defend religious freedom.
Appoint constitutional conservative judges.
Rebuild our military.
Bomb the shit out of ISIS (and take their oil).

End political correctness.
Take the GOP head-on.
Take the media head-on.
Take the liberals head-on.
And win, baby, win.

All of the above on a shoestring budget compared to most of the 16 competitors he’s defeated (after they spent 100's of millions of donor bucks).

No PACs.
No big donors.
No party support.

What’s democrat about any of the above?
What’s not conservative?
What’s not to like?

And I’ll add a few more:

Redo the horrid Iran deal.
Take a serious look at NATO.
Require our allies to pay more for their defense.

Rebuild the Reagan Coalition and attract blue collar workers by making America first again on manufacturing, trade, secure borders, economy and jobs, jobs, jobs!

Make America Great Again!

Cruz is a decent Christian conservative man.

Yup, just like the National Enquirer said...

When it comes right down to it, that’s all Cruz has too. Campaign promises. Cruz has no real world experience whatsoever. He was a great solicitor general for the state of Texas, but has zero executive experience and really no legislative experience to speak of either.

I wouldn't go quite that far - His conservative nature has been on display since a very early age. Experience is certainly important - but not as important as character. Cruz has stuck to his guns, all the way along.

I don't see that in Trump. At all.

My brother was just reading that Cruz wants to raise SS retirement age to 70. Only a man that never worked a hard days labor in his life, would make such a proposition.

It maybe some sort of temporary suspension that happened about two weeks ago.

I’ve never experienced that on my account in many years of posting.

Jim,

You had me on Number 1) Build the Wall!

Trump paved the way. The people want it. No other candidate wants a wall because big donors hate walls. Great list.

Planning my next FR contribution. :-)

Yes, he’s done things. He’s made a lot of money. He’s built a lot of condominiums and clubs. If that’s the criteria for conservatism, then we have a host of folks to line up who were more successful than Trump.

It seems like you have wealth envy. Keep in mind, few people were given the golden spoon financial start of Donald Trump. He has had a bank of lawyers and financial people to help him his entire life. He was set up to do things with a lot of money, and to his credit, he made the best of it.

That doesn’t define conservatism. Zuckerburg has done things, Gates and Buffet have done things with money. That doesn’t mean they would make a great President or reflect conservative values as President.

I suppose I need more evidence than a few statements during a Presidential campaign. For instance, has he helped you financially keep this site going? That would be a big up check in my book. Has he helped any other conservative causes with his billions?

Cruz has always been at the front of the line to fight for us,do you think you can tell me why Cruzes accomplishments are minimal when he’s a member of a body that he represents 1/100th of with corrupt leadership on both sides of the isle?

You said: He has taken action and given loads of money to leading liberal Democrats

It’s called greasing the palm. If you were a business man you would know that. It’s the same political corruption he is bringing attention to now. Unfortunately, that is how you have to play that game.

You said: He has hired foriegn workers when could have hired Americans

I am aware of illegal Polish workers hired by a construction contractor years ago. The foreign workers that he has at his resorts (Mar-a-lago etc) are there on H2B visas. Anybody with a seasonal/resort business will tell you many times this is absolutely necessary. And a business could not survive without them. Unfortunately suitable American workers are hard to find. They don’t want to work weekends. For some reason they seem to think cleaning rooms is below them. Many cannot pass the background or drug test. And who wants a waitress with blue hair, face piercings and a neck tattoo.

You said: He has built products overseas when he could have built them in America.

Yes he could have made in America. That would mean building a factory since there are not many existing clothing manufacturers left. And then training workers. And then government regulations. This would all increase the cost of the final product. How many ties would he have to sell to be profitable? How would he compete with imports? Isn’t this one of his main points in running? Jobs jobs jobs!! Make America Great Again!

You said: He has verbally trashed leading Conservatives with lies and innuendo.

I was not aware of him saying anything bad about Gov Palin, Sen Sessions, Phyllis Schlafly, Sheriff Joe, Gov Brewer etc. - please provide links.

You said: He has used the bankruptcy laws to get out of paying billions of dollars in debt.

Unfortunately, sometimes businesses fail. Many Americans have had to file bankruptcy also. It happens.

You said: He has made billions, from the millions he was given as a young man.

And he should be damn proud of that. Why hate him for being successful? Isn’t that the American Dream?

You said: He has avoided the draft.

A MILITARY DOCTOR, not his personal physician, determined he was unfit due to bone spurs. So, you not only hate him because he is successful but also because he has health issues. Seriously??

"but that is said about Cruz and his supporters"

No, it's said about Cruz and his supporters take it personally.

And that's a immature position to retreat to when trying to make a cogent argument.

So now election year promises are how we define Conservatism?

No, Trump's election year promises are what matters. If you think sticking with the DC status quo, led by Hillary or the GOPe/mimi-GOPE (Ted Cruz), then take your vote elsewhere, I guess.

God, you sound like the Tories did during the American Revolution!

By that criteria, the whole GOP is conservative.

Your criteria is flawed. Coming from other "conservatives", politicians all, the election year promises are as empty as they've been for decades.

These promises are coming from Donald Trump, not some run-of-the-mill politician. And, by all accounts, Donald Trump is a man of his word.

Trump will be different. At least he's willing to try something different in the face of a corrupt and entrenched system that promises all members of the Uniparty a spot at the feeding trough, as long as they play along.

I thought that’s why Conservatives look to the record to determine a candidate’s Conservatism.

Trump doesn't have a political record, but he has a good record as a red-blooded American capitalist in the real world, as opposed to the phony world of politics.

I must have missed the memo.

Yes, you missed the memo where we need Revolutionary change in Washington DC, and the only person even remotely willing and able to lead that change is Donald J. Trump.

Vote Trump
