As if the election results weren't enough proof that Donald Trump absolutely dominated Appalachia, this map offers a pretty good picture of just how widespread the presumptive GOP nominee's support is in the region:

Problems is that VA and FLA used to be solid red but aren’t anymore. Illegals (FLA) and government workers (Northern VA).

Donald Trump has to win VA, FLA and either Iowa or Ohio and maybe even PA.

One reason we have to stop any form of amnesty or fast track citizenship is that it will skew the demographics and guarantee Demo control of the government.

Trump was very impressive in the East. He's going to be impressive in the West too shortly.

IMO, his upcoming success in the West is what drove someone else out of the race.

I agree with your analysis, especially concerning Northern Virginia, which has its own illegal alien communities in Arlington and Prince William, to go along with the earnest airey-fairy good-government types who come to DC to save the world.

Loudoun County might be an interesting bellweather (Leesburg) as it has a mix of ultra-rich lefties along with traditional horse country old money Republicans.

But the rest of the state, I-81 down to the coal corner, and the tidewater region with the military presence, should be bright red and should hopefully offset the liberally-infected northern counties outlined above.

I have always wanted to visit that area-—I hear it’s quite beautiful.

and if Trump lands the Keystone State then he’s the 45th president.

I'm hoping, but that voting fraud in Philly is really powerful. On the other hand, if rank and file union folks aren't supporting their leadership, there is hope.

Lol. Probably. Union people tend to one issue voters.

I would hope so. But those folks are pretty “stupid” and would vote for the devil himself until they realized that at the last minute that they destined for the lake of fire.

Agreed. Our prayer list is a lot longer these days. America has taken a turn for the worse and continues to head in the wrong direction.

As my wife explains it: “things are not falling apart, they are coming together.” It is comforting to think of it this way.

Sometimes a worsening period represents a loss of superficiality, like a snake ready to shed a skin that looks pretty decrepit until the old skin is off.

Well, after Obama, I suppose a case could be made that West Virginia isn’t Coal country any more, either.

The appalachian mountains go as far south and east as those counties.

I’ll be he loses in the general to whoever is the democrat. Macon county is the home of The Tuskegee Institute and University, and the entire county is 82.6% Black.
..............
Obama got about 94% of the black vote. Hillary will get about 75% of the black vote. Barney even less.

For the dems to win —they really need over 90% of the black vote to show up and vote for them.

I wish I could agree with you, but I can't. :-( NORVA, Richmond/Petersburg, and Tidewater (Newport News/Hampton/Norfolk/VA Beach/Portsmouth/etc.) votes majorly for the 'rats. Our local Virginian-Pilot editorial is heavily in the bag for our governor (former DNC head) and Hellery.

Local conservatives(including military), wave the flag, but we're shouted down by the unprincipled libs.

My hope for VA lies west of I-95.
