Agreed. RINOs have no honor.

You are right. A divorced candidate is unacceptable...in the 18th century. But divorce is a fact of life today. Millions of couples have divorced. Reagan was divorced. Are you suggesting people who divorce are untrustworthy?

Sooo, according to you it is OK to lie and break a pledge (one Jeb likely never intended to keep, since it was his turn to win after all) if someone is a big meanie to said making pledge. One word - pathetic.

He’s a Bush. Their only honor is to their NWO of elitist, establishment snobs.

Oh, freep you. My opinion is that all the candidates are telling whatever story they believe will serve them today.

Prove that Trump always stands by his word. (Hint, start with his marriage vows.)

Sigh, crap like this is why I rarely post here anymore. The original post I was replying to said and I quote
“nothing....NOTHING...is more rude than dishonoring a pledge.”
And it was made on a thread about Jeb Bush not abiding by a pledge to support Trump.
My contention is that if someone is going to be going on about how rude dishonoring a pledge is, then he best include Trump on the rude part of that scale, because without even trying hard I can think of 2 pledges he has broken.
I’m divorced, plenty of people are. I obviously have nothing against it, but if you’re going after someone for breaking an oath, you can’t exclude Trump.

Nice try, and that was not your point at all. I see why you approve of lying so much though.

Very glad you’re not in my family. Because we are totally not perfect as you seem to be.

Blarg and dreck.

I hope Trump lives up to your expectations. I don’t think there’s a snowball’s chance in Hell that he will.

Odd isn’t it that his first wife supports him and they are very friendly. As for his second, haven’t heard much from her but seems she is on a friendly basis too. I know building an international business takes a toll on family life. Most likely the reason for the splits lie there. I don’t hold his private life against him. He won’t be running the country from his bedroom.

[Trump's] mantra against the Iraq War, and Bush lied nonsense just rubbed me the wrong way.

It makes the arguments the Lefties made sound legitimate. And I completely disagree.

You know, I tend to agree with you. But I know that I'll never agree with any candidate on every issue. I think Trump was too political with the Iran War issue and sounded too strident.

Having said that, I can confidently say that I'm going to vote for Donald Trump with a clear conscience.

Vote Trump

You “hope” nothing of the kind. You’re lying through your teeth when you say you do. Your denunciations of the Republican Standard Bearer because you “don’t approve” of the way he speaks to people who attack him first, and the fact he’s divorced along with millions of Americans who moved on from unhappy unions speaks blaringly of your narrow mind. Time you learned that nobody is perfect, least of all you.

I’m an OIF vet. Now, I was just a REMF, and only did a year stint, but looking back on what was done, I agree with Trump.

Doesn’t diminish the sacrifices made, or my respect for the young men and women who offered to make them.

It’s a fact that the Iraqi counterbalance to Iran was removed. IMHO, Obama squandered whatever had been gained at great cost by just leaving to score political points.

I also have serious doubts about the prospects of growing a democracy in a muslim area, let alone one that features hostile factions of muslims.

If Bush and crew had just made it a punitive expedition,
and after deposing Saddam had just left the place with a nice note saying “Screw with us, we’ll be back” it would have made more sense than doing what we did. Of course, such a war does little for the pocketbooks of contractors, consultants and the others feeding on the trough of “nation building”.

For what it’s worth, I believe President Trump would be more likely to keep the peace than Hillary the brilliant Libya strategist.

I also believe if war is forced on him, most likely early his term because of the gutted military Obama will leave him, he will prosecute it vigorously and listen to the Pros at the Pentagon, but he’ll fire as many Puzzle Palace Princes as he needs to to get a winner at the helm.

I don’t believe that Trump would have much interest in conducting postwar democracy growing experiments, but I’d wager the note he’d leave when we up and left after doing our punitive expedition would be a lot more profane than the one I came up with.

If there is a better option running for President with a chance at winning, I’d love to hear about it.

"He signed a pledge, and, if you remember, they all wanted me to sign it, so I signed it. But that pledge is a guarantee, there's no outs. It doesn't say, 'subject to me liking Donald Trump' or anything."
