This is why the law must have a compass. It cannot be its own compass. When the law becomes its own compass people can be ordered to do anything. They have no basis upon which to refuse.

I grew up in Detroit, and my high school had about 1,000 kids in it. And, I can assure you, there were absolutely NO “transgendered” kids there. The word, term, and concept wasn’t even invented then.
People used to have some shame. They would moderate their actions out of shame.
Now they celebrate their weirdness.
