In addition to showering all kinds of money on nonsense things like trains to the desert, that no one will ride, instead of building ten more water reservoirs to better use rainfall. I hate this beautiful state’s people.

Nice link!

I just plotted 2014-2015 and precip is > 50% above average.

But the marxist media tells us CA is in a drought.

They lied!

Yea, I know...it’s a given...

I hope Mr. Trump and his advisers realize there's a lot more to this man-made CA "drought" than meets the eye. I've forgotten how to post links so do a search for The Wildlands Project. It's not a fantasy!

I just watched a PBS NOVA segment that's part of the "softening-up" propaganda process for this element of one-world Green/Gaia dreams along with Agenda 21. The Canadian wildlife corridor is nearly complete and now the big push is on to extend it through the U.S. northwest right down to Baja California through California's Central Valley. Other parts of the U.S. are in equal danger.

Of course the "people who know what's good for the rest of us" doll all this eyewash up in Tooth Fairy rhetoric to sell it to the naïve.

I love your optimism but it’s not gonna happen..Trump can win certain parts of California but SoCal has been and always be a liberal wasteland, trust me I live here, all you see are Bernie Sanders stickers on cars..LA is run by LA Raza and our mayor is a total joke so we are pretty much screwed here

Enough fresh water to supply the needs of four million California homes has been pissed away to protect a stupid little smelt that is not even indigenous to California.

Idiots.

“The Wildlands Project

With a goal of placing 50% of the United States into “wildlands”, The Wildlands Project sounds like something out of a science fiction book. When one starts reading documents from the United Nations, like the UN Biodiversity Treaty, and researching “Wildlands” and “Wildlands Project” on the internet, though, it isn’t that far out a proposition.

There are numerous websites that show the organizations actively working toward achieving the goal as set out in The Wildlands Project, a brainchild of Dave Foreman of Earth 1st and others. The Wildlands Network has a map on their website showing the “wildways” desired for wolves, bears and other long-ranging animals – many of which are being “reintroduced” into areas that conflict with where people live, work and play. The idea, however, is to move the people into “sustainable communities” – ie “pack ’em and stack ’em” cities and out of the rural areas.

One needs only to see the myriad of rules, regulations and the agencies promulgating them to get the idea that “something is drastically wrong”. No longer do individuals seem to have a voice – meetings are held by the dozens, with presentations made and little, if any, opportunity for people to voice their dissent. Rather, a new methodology is being used – called “consensus” – where the predetermined outcomes are already set, and meetings are nothing more than a meager play at something slightly resembling information. The plans have already been set; it’s just a matter of “telling” the people what is planned for them.

In Washington State, we’ve seen the implemention in the growth management act, critical areas ordinances, wetland designations, “planning”, so many “studies” costing so much money that it’s impossible to keep track of them all.

Over the years, more and more land has either been bought outright by government entities, or regulated to the point that it’s difficult to do anything with it other than what is “allowed” by the various government agencies – and then only when fees and/or taxes are paid for the honor.”

That’s not a significant issue, as those who learned about nature before leftists revised the curricula will point out.

You all (or Y’all) might want to take a gander at this graph of Lake Shasta:

http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cdecapp/resapp/resDetailOrig.action?resid=SHA

Most of California’s major reservoirs look the same. And yet, Jerry the Fairy continues to talk about the drought. Whjy, because he and his RAT buddies don’t want to give up the surcharges they’ve been pocketing during the drought. It’s money to allow him to keep spending.

Absolutely!

The primary problem in California is not; 'Lack of water' it is lack of planning for the periods when there is a lack of precipitation.

On a side note I was consulting with one of the contractors involved with trying to get the Santa Barbara RO plant back up and running (after 24 years in mothballs). One of the issues was all the computer data was stored on 7" floppy discs!

California has not built a single new reservoir in over 40 years despite their population doubling in size. Only an environmental extremist would think that is acceptable.

I'm afraid that's not the case...

Diamond Valley Lake was started in 1995

Of course, this lake is fed by the Colorado River aquaduct, and virtually no water has been coming from that source for a few years now.

I remember being in California three decades ago and hearing the weather announcer say, "We got three inches of rain in the past couple of days, didn't help the drought though.

At that point I decided that one of two things was true, either California was blessed with the dumbest weather announcers in the world or the talk of Drought was a cover for something else.
