Trump: Gingrich criticism of me 'inappropriate'
POLITICO ^ | June 6, 2016 | NICK GASS

A day after former Newt Gingrich called Donald Trump's latest comments on Judge Gonzalo Curiel "inexcusable," the presumptive Republican nominee fired back at the former House speaker, who has largely been supportive of his candidacy.

"As far as Newt is concerned, I saw Newt," Trump told "Fox & Friends" on Monday after the show played clips of Hillary Clinton and Gingrich denouncing his remarks speculating that Curiel's Mexican heritage represented a conflict of interest in the cases against Trump University over which he is presiding. "I was surprised at Newt. I thought it was inappropriate what he said."

Blacks think white cops are unfair. Minorities are unfairly hit on tests at school some say. What is wrong with what Trump said? He can have an opinion.

It is, in fact, this whole notion of “judicial” special insight that falsely implies a “Wise Latina” (for example)of proven limited, mediocre talent somehow is better equipped to adjudicate matters of momentous import.

>> Are Gingrich’s comments his tantrum because he didn’t get the VP nod? <<

A very plausible possibility, IMO. It’s simply the old sour-grapes meme.

And I wonder if Newt’s income tax return failed to pass muster when it was examined by the Trump campaign’s VP-vetting committee?

Or was it just that they realized Newt is too old for the job? Not the image needed to attract young voters?

This is true. I listen when I hear Trump and interpret what he says, keeping in mind that he’s a New Yorker, and he’s a tough one, at that. I wind up knowing EXACTLY what he means, but one has to not hate him and be looking to take him out in order to properly understand him.

Me thinks Trump told him he wasn’t a VP candidate

Hopefully they already knew that Newt can be an unreliable flake. It’s the same trait that got him in trouble when he was Speaker.

That’s become the Party Line among the concern trolls in the media including the conservative media entertainment complex. The judge is “from Indiana” and his active membership in the racialist LA RAZA group gets swept under the rug.

Who do these dolts think are watching their coverage????

...the media is going full bore “nothing matters but racism” with the narrative.

And after they have fully committed to that, they are going to look stupider than ever when Trump exposes the filthy racism of the corrupt judge. There's a reason he didn't name the "organization" the judge belongs to YET (IMO).

I think Newt loves ping-pong type attention. He goes to the Trump side, causing attention and some adulation from the right, then he comes out and says something stupid that the left would love (not unlike the couch shot) and enjoys attention from the left for turning on the right (not unlike McCain).

He’s unpredictable, which means unreliable, which means so long, Newtster.

On TV, I saw Newt give a speech at the GOP convention in Tampa in 2012.

He had his wife Calista standing next to him while he gave the speech. I thought that was weird....she looked like a Stepford wife.

All Gingrich did by being critical of Trump was to give ammo to the rats. Like Trump said, it was inappropriate.

Maybe he already knew he’d fallen off the short list. Thus, the Establishment shill puts the knife in Trumps back. If newt goes away quietly now, maybe he can get off with this slap on the wrist.

It seems all of FR’s favorites for VP are close to seventy or even older. No seventy year-old candidate is going to pick a VP around the same age, not even Trump.

A lot of the conservative media and entertainment complex are way more politically correct than their audience.

If anything remotely touching race or non-white ethnic loyalty comes up they are as resolute in defending the strictures of political correctness as any liberal. Free and open speech be damned.

Newt has to stay in the news to get gullible oafs to hire him to consult so he can pay his Tiffany’s bill.

“It is amazing how quickly they [politicians, newsies, commentators, etc.] can drop the {hyphenated}-American when it is inconvenient.”

Yes, and I’va always thought it was a hoot to call Blacks here in America “African-Americans.” As far as I know there is no “African Race,” and 99% of American Blacks have never even been to Africa, let along having been born there. I have Black friends who themselves are offended by the term. OTOH these delineations are “helpful,” when we are trying to figure out why some “Americans” do the things that they do. In Curiel’s case, he’s simply a fifth column judge who isn’t an American of any stripe, just like Obama, who should be removed from office and deported back to the “country he really loves,” Mexico.

GOOD...I hope this can end the talk of VP Newt. Although he passed god legislation that boomed our economy, Newt was a P.R. trainwreck, with an almost weekly press battle, embarrassing release or intraparty squabble.

“I hope this can end the talk of VP Newt.”

I think you can count on that. Not the first time Newt has exhibited Foot in Mouth disease.

I have heard the La Raza connection made on the news but they claim they are not sure if this La Raza group of the Judge’s is connected to “La Raza”. You know like Islam is not connected to ISIS/ISIL:-)
