Following the introduction of civil partnerships, Muslim representatives in Italy are now demanding the legalisation of polygamy. Responding to a new law allowing same sex couples to enter civil unions, Hamza Piccardo argued that if gay relationships, which Muslims disagree with, are a civil right then Italians must accept polygamy as a civil right too.

It KILLS me inside, but he’s right. If one FREAKISH thing is allowed, then multiple wives (which is a lot less freakish, though odd to me) should be allowed.

This is the manifestation of the slippery slope that social conservatives were derided for pointing out.
So if Muslims get polygamy legalized in Europe, given their birthrates, whose world view will end up predominating? Same-sex unions will be a thing of the past again.

However nobody would make the case that Muslims are "born that way"; women won't say "awww, just let them have love the way they want it". And since women's feelings decide all social policy in the 21st century I don't see it taking hold.

Actually, they do not want this. As in Germany, France, UK and most any other European country the Muslims still have multiple wives, but they relegate their official Infidel Country status to one terrorist, one wife and children, and all the other ‘loosely connected’ wives and (official bastard children) become “single mothers with children”
Thus, in total they as a shadow family together garner much much, more in entitlements. I have relatives in Germany that confirm this.
All they want with this latest crap is to make social trouble and strife.

I saw this coming a long time ago. Once marriage is destroyed, anything goes, and there is no legal basis to deny marriage to a goat, or to 4 “wives.” Muzzards are going to use this to eliminate us by their birth rate.
You can make laws against polygamy, but they will find a liberal America-hating lawyer and find a district in which they will win, and lo and behold, muzzards will get welfare for their 4 “wives” and 29 kids. Plus free housing, big enough for the brood, compliments of you and me.
Sure, they can marry their goats and other men.
As someone said, the courts are not redefining marriage, they are undefining marriage.
Anything goes now.
