Why does it have to be an Obamacare provider. Why can’t they just buy insurance from any company?
“Cox told Business Insider that the situation in Pinal County will likely raise calls for a public option, or a government-run health insurance option similar to Medicare or Medicaid.”
That was the plan all along.
Without the premium tax credit, utterly unaffordable for many.
YEP!!! FIRST SINGLE PAYER SYSTEM COMING WITHIN WEEKS OR MONTHS.
AND GOING STRAIGHT BACK TO HELL WHEN TRUMP WINS!
**That was the plan all along.**
Yup.
Notice how nobody in Washington is talking about this. Not quite catastrophic enough yet. Give it a few more months to tank and the government will step in and rescue us all.
When socialism fails, the solution is always more socialism.
doesn’t this mean the people of that county don’t have to pay the fine for not having health insurance?
Because Obama care subsidizes the poor.
This is Obama’s intent for all America - single payer National Health System.
No problem. Just do a ‘Venezuela’ and nationalize the insurance companies. ‘Make’ them do what the democrats want..
I must be the only one that remembers county hospitals.
Then dump the subsidies, I guess.
But really, there is three point soluttion to all of this.
1) You don’t have to buy health insurance (repeal Obamacare).
2) Healthcare providers are under no obligation to treat anyone without health insurance who can’t otherwise pay.
3) Healthcare providers who decide to treat people who can’t pay anyway are forbidden from spreading the cost out to their other patients who can pay.
Aug 21, 2016 NHS crisis plan to cancel operations and appointments as winter draws in. Telegraph.co.uk
Hospitals are to cancel thousands of operations and appointments in a desperate bid to stop the NHS "buckling" this winter, under Government plans. Health officials are drawing up contingency measures to attempt to safeguard emergency care by diverting senior doctors from operating theatres into wards and Accident & Emergency departments as winter sets in.
The national plan, detailed in evidence to the Commons health select committee, comes amid concern that the NHS is already in the grip of the worst bed-blocking crisis on record. ...

5 hours ago Big rise in patients falling victim to NHS surgical mistakes Telegraph.co.uk-
Campaigners blamed inadequate NHS staffing and increased pressure at work on the increase in surgical mistakes.
Of course, rationing of resources by nationalizing them. MRI machines will virtually disappear. Long appointment waits (hoping you die waiting). Substandard communal care, specialists virtually impossible to see unless you pass the “worthiness gate.” On and on. It is coming to America.
In the linked article note how the Kaiser Family Foundation, a so-called “nonpartisan healthcare-focused think tank”, suggests that convincing BCBS to stick around seems to be the easiest option to continue offering some form of healthcare plan to people. The KFF is in reality a sympathetic supporter for Obamacare.
Only a few big insurers were willing to meet various requirements to sell through the exchange.
It is like the Section 8 housing program - you have to agree to a long checklist and audits, and many providers don’t want to. And the government can put requirements on you to get the money, but they can’t MAKE you meet those requirements and go through the program.
If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. One of the biggest lies in the entire political history of the United States. Another Obama “legacy”.
“Notice how nobody in Washington is talking about this. Not quite catastrophic enough yet. Give it a few more months to tank and the government will step in and rescue us all.”
A few more of these will pop up and then the rats will say it is the future of health insurance.
Something this stupid would require one of the bigger lies.
