“I find myself some Sunday’s not even watching Football the last few year.”

I’m with you. Decades ago, we became fans of the 49ers living in the bay area and having the pleasure of meeting many of the good players and coaches during and after their careers.

My family and I in the past couple of years have become “Former 49er fans”. This racist bs on the part of the no talent K will drive us even further away.

I watch a lot less than I used to.

Let’s have this fight about politics invading sports now and get it over with.

The NFL runs on TV revenue. Don’t watch SF games, and don’t watch other teams where players try this idiocy.

Target is breaking, consumer choices make a difference.

Me too.

As for how many people feel that way, ESPN is suffering from cord-cutting, but I think that’s due more to cost than to the athletes alienating viewers.

But maybe the political stuff is having a measurable effect.

“If I remember correctly.....the NFL would NOT even allow Limbaugh to buy a team a few years ago..”

Proving his point. If they were worried about stigma for seeming political they should apply that evenly.

Rush sure does love his NFL.

I never understood the madness about football to begin with--especially NFL football.

I love football but deplore actions like Colin pulled off. NFL is on the edge of turning off their base in a big way. They know it too.

“Why do Liberals hate the Patriots?”

Same reason a lot of normal people hate them.

They suck at cheating and get caught and look stupid too often. Their coach is an a-hole in public and a sore loser.

Mizzou’s season ticket sales have plummeted due to their capitulation to the Occutards.

Just saying.

"If there is one thing Limbaugh knows, it is the importance of sports to the American psyche, and he is absolutely correct on this. Americans do not watch sports for political messages, they watch sports to get away from them."

Jeff Kuhner who is in the same time slot as Rush noted today in Communist Societies everything is viewed via the lens of politicization.....

We are all Comrades now Henkster, Maybe El-Rushbo should be pointing that out.

Maybe you and I will go Galt on the NFL and metaphorically tell them to blank off as we resist their Sovietization as we stop watching as our form of saying Neyt.

I really enjoy the NFL, but not to the extent of remaining silent, when a supposed "star" disrespects the Star Spangled Banner, and demonizes the Police who put their lives on the line for the safety of the rest of us.

The ditzy Quarterback--as ditzy as that Congresswoman from the Bay Area--is not only doing enormous damage to the NFL. His giving credence to an anti-Police narrative, will have the effect of stirring more mob insanity, directly interfering with the rights of people in Black inner city neighborhoods to expect adequate Police protection. Just look at what has happened in Baltimore, since a crack pot Mayor forced the Police to stand down, to appease the mob!!

They are a team from Massachusetts full of liars and cheaters.

Harumph. You'd believe that if you listened to the ANTI-Patriots on ESPN.

People tire of constant political harangues. I'm as politically aware as anyone I know, and I need a break just for fun once in a while. Even in the good old USSR, "New Soviet Man" said Nyet to their constant politicization. They all went Gault, and that's why the only functioning economy was what was done na levo or "on the side."

Me too! I haven't watched “professional” sports for about 20 years. It's amazing how much better life is, doing something yourself rather than just vegetating in front of the “box” watching severely overpaid minority morons try to kill each other.

worth repeating:
“I don’t always agree with Rush lately but he’s on point with this. The Obama/media assaults the American people at every turn. They won’t allow us to have hope or joy, they beat us senseless.

This football skirmish is just another instance of destroying the American soul. No more turning on the game to escape, to have fun, to get away from the 24/7 political beating.’

Rush has mentioned many times that the left MUST get rid of any fun we have, anything good in our lives that gives us hope. Your comments are spot on.

I LOVE my Green Bay Packers, have followed them through the good years and the bad. I am a political junkie but follow Packers indeed for fun, sportsmanship and the pride they bring to our state! And yes when I see the pink on them for ONE MONTH I totally could barf. I’ve written notes and told the NFL what I think. Making men wear pink is disgusting and sissy to me. For the whole month is “in your face”. It’s just like Black History month. Seriously where is WHITE history month?????

Alynski rules - almost complete dontchaknow? All that is left is confiscating our guns, banning ammo, etc.

It’s our turn to stand up and say enough. Go Trump.

I studiously avoid the Sunday night broadcast of the NFL in order to avoid Costas, et al. If it’s a great game I watch with the sound off. No politics with my sports, thanks. Costas is on my “avoid” list with Julia Roberts, Robert Redford, Tom Hanks, Leonardo, MATT DAMON, Tim Robbins, Kanye, Babs, Bono, Garofolo, and any other lefty who thinks it’s OK to use our brief time together to push their opinion of what I should be doing. GFY...

No risk at my house because the pro sports clowns destroyed our desire to watch the games years ago. And actually I’m grateful to them for doing so.
