Title: "Trump Leads Clinton Nationally and in Four States Polled; 3 of 4 Senate Incumbents Look Safe; Pneumonia News Hurting Clinton"

BOSTON, MA - In the first national poll conducted by Emerson College during this general election season, the presidential race is looking like a dead heat, with Donald Trump edging out Hillary Clinton 43% to 41%, well within the poll’s 3.4% margin of error (MOE). Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson holds 9% of the popular vote, and the Green Party’s Jill Stein gets 2%.

Eight in 10 (81%) of voters surveyed nationally were aware that Clinton was recently diagnosed with pneumonia, a revelation that appears to be hurting her with some voters.

In four state-level polls released at the same time as the national poll, Trump leads by 4 points in Colorado (42% to 38%), 6 points in Georgia (45% to 39%), 13 points in Missouri (47% to 34%) and has a blowout-level lead in Arkansas, 57% to 29%.

U.S. Senate races in three of the four states polled show the incumbents with a solid lead over their challengers. In Arkansas, GOP Senator John Boozman has a 14-point edge over Democrat Conner Eldridge, 44% to 30%. Georgia Republican Johnny Isakson leads Jim Barksdale 48% to 32%, and Colorado’s Democratic incumbent, Michael Bennet is running 7 points ahead of Darryl Glenn, 46% to 39%. Missouri is the exception, with Democrat Jason Kander holding a 2-point edge over GOP incumbent Roy Blunt, 42% to 40%.

God I hope that on Election Day those Johnson and Stein people stay true to their “principles” because I firmly believe that the majority of them would rather see The Former Twelfth Lady win.

The race is not over; remember Clinton’s double digit leads. The trend now is very hopeful. Pray without ceasing.

Clinton NEVER had a double digit lead... Trump stalled his momentum with the Kahn nonsense and the press has lighted and push polled a bunch of crap. Nothing more folks.

If you think Clintone ever had double digits in this thing you are just easily manipulated. Only now are polls even starting to filter routinely to likely voters and even then are still using 2012 as their models.. Which is completely wrong.

Clinton was never above a tie to a slight lead EVER, stop buying the crap.

Yes fight hard... But Clinton won’t put 60M votes in the box on Election Day, never was going to be able to. She’s been toast from the get go, just the pundit class has been to self absorbed to recognize that this is a disruptive election.. Should have been beyond obvious when Trump for the nomination but nope still pretend this is some typical cycle and continue with the propoganda non stop.

Fight hard every day but Hillary never had a prayer.

I have thought all along it’s going to be close and I haven’t changed my opinion. Trump has to basically run the table to win. Hildabeast has a lot more margin for error. Don’t discount that fact, FRiend.

Sorry disagree with this view and always have... This is treating this election cycle like it’s just another election with lower than normal like ability on the candidates... Which is just IMHO flat out wrong.

This is the narrative that the DC and Pundit crowd are stuck on and it’s been a misread from day one.

That was referring to the primaries, not the general election.

I don’t think Trump’s numbers have really changed much. It’s just that more people are comfortable now admitting that they support hiim.

I’d ask why GA is so close, but let’s not forget that Romney only won the state by 8.2% in 2012. So it’s really not too far off the beam.

The Emerson internals for Colorado.

“Dem 34.2% 205
Republican 29.4% 176
Independents 36.4% 218”

The last time I looked registered CO Republicans out number Dems in the state by about 1%. And the enthusiasm gap is a huge advantage for Reps over DUmbs. So add about 5% to Trump’s CO lead. :-)

Is it me or does anyone else around the Tampa Bay area notice how GAY News9 seems to put a positive spin on Her Heinous no matter how well Trump is doing in the polls? They still emphasize that one current poll that still puts her slightly ahead, even if it’s within the margin of error or a statistical dead heat. We all know ultimately polls are meaningless, but the media bias is so blatant Stevie Wonder blindfolded can see it.
