I apologize for the vanity, but I got an email from the Candidate's Campaign today and I responded. I told them I was disgusted by the debate and I thought she bested him, then I sent him the below.

There are three debates. No one will remember this one. No one will remember the second one. The last one is where Trump will take off the gloves.
Trump was pretty much a gentleman last night. Clinton was pretty much a smug bitch. It showed.
The debate was clearly rigged to make Trump look bad and Clinton look good.

Trump did not give her a chance to spin on some issues he could have brought up. He will not allow her to inoculate herself with some lame excuse.

I thought his Bernie Sanders cheated comment last night was a home run. Her emails revealed she cheated each and every Sanders supporter. So, they might come to Trump and might not. But there’s a good chance they stay home, go to Stein, or go to Johnson. It’s their only honorable response.
I caught it, but IIRC he kind of whispered it. What was patently obvious is that the “moderator” interrupted Trump 50 times more than he did to Hillary. His bias came through loud and clear.

Your thoughts are good, but these debates are more about the X factor which is hard to define. No low info voters digest the meat of any of these answers and who wins (for the undecided )is sort of an accumulated feeling they get over the whole debate. Any fair minded person will see that debate was almost a setup, it was so blatant. Any voter who hates name calling will realize that hillary only had two words in her arsenal last night, RACIST and LIAR. I think trump will be ok
There is nothing that I want more than to see Trump victorious in November, and at this point, the job is his to lose. That being said, he was woefully unprepared for the debate and I would hope that his preparation is better for the next two debates.
Your claim that she bested him seems out of step with the vast Trump win shown by all the overnight polls CNN and the Frank Luntz focus group were the outliers. The CNN overnight poll showed that Hitlery won 67% to 23% and 10% a draw. And Luntz’s focus group of 22 mushy headed moderates had Hitlery winning 16 to 6. We know two things, if the CNN poll is true then the vast majority of CNN viewership is way out of step with the rest of America. And that makes sense since CNN is the most popular with the DC NYC LA coastal elites. And as far as Frank Luntz’s group, it would seem Frank is out of touch being able to pick a group that accurately reflects America, thus all his polling should be questioned.
IMHO, Trump should have barely responded to her and Holt’s petty accusations. My entries in the Better Response Derby:

I hope to see a debate where Hillary does not have the moderator kissing her ample behind for the whole 90 minutes. I heard the talking heads setting this up earlier as it is a known fact Trump lies every 3.2 minutes so it is clearly Holt’s responsibility to expose Trumps’ lies so the people watching can see the facts. Delusional! I knew the fix was in.
Surely what you say is worthwhile but is it important to the greater majority of voters? Hillary scored points and trump scored points....fine. Hillary is certainly more of an “informed insider” than is Trump but it hat a positive to people who are desperate for CHANGE?
Finally why are almost ALL the post debate polls favoring Trump if what you say is important (even if true)?
Even the CNN post debate focus group poll is called by Nate Silver of 538 as being way over sampled of Democrats (15%). It is on his website. That is just about the only poll which gives Clinton a clear victory and is the one cited by liberals all over the web. But there are many, many more polls which give Trump the victory because as was stated before the debate, all he had to do was show up and look human. He easily did that.
LOL, and Trump is winning in virtually every post debate poll because.....?
Thanks, and I know. I knew it when I wrote it. They’ll look when I registered here and still call me a noobie or troll. But those that do that without any substance more than that, only reinforce my belief that I’m right. He needs to do better. Or we’ll get her.
