Heading into tonight’s debates the theme for the evening has already been set by the media, along with everyone else who has been hoping that a giant sinkhole would open up and swallow Donald Trump like some sort of low rent Mothra in a budget Godzilla film. This narrative rests on the assumption that the video of Trump’s now infamous Bus Ride with Billy was the straw that broke the camel’s back and “everyone is fleeing the sinking ship.” Over at The Hill they’re keeping a running WHIP list of politicians who are pulling their support for the nominee. Less mentioned is the fact that these are mostly people who opposed Trump from the beginning and only came onboard when he began exceeding expectations in the polls.
So are these The End Days which everyone has been predicting? I wouldn’t be quite so hasty in nailing the coffin shut. Once the initial shock and awe has worn off you may find that those seeking to undermine Trump’s campaign have badly misplayed what could have been a winning hand. If the cable news authorities were going to quote any classic rock lyrics to script this moment it would be Jim Morrison singing about how This Is The End. But while the video was certainly a damaging broadside to the Trump campaign, the way this was handled was very possibly bungled. What could have really been the end of the line for The Donald may have been fumbled to the point where he has a path to recovery. There are three factors which may support this idea that I’d like to cover.

They had to. The super ultra double death hurricane from hell that was supposed to kill everyone in Florida then circle back and kill them again was a bust. They could fill that vacuum with Hillary’s emails or a crude comment from Trump. Of course they chose to attack Trump.
Trump is still standing, to the amazement of his enemies.

it isn’t what Trump said that’s the travesty.. it’s that the media can do this to a candidate.. Can you imagine any decent man running for the office, knowing they will be charred for life by the left? If it had been a minister in the seat, they’d find something much less and pin him on it.. just to get rid of him.. and it would work just the same. You know the clintons have done 100% worse and are protected.. it’s the POWER.. they are after..!
Face it.. the left wants to be in power and the media is married to them.. they all are interentwined and are a force to reckon with.. they are evil as the day is long...and there is nothing they would not do to stay in power.
The problem is the dummies out there who vote and don’t even know a man’s name.. they get their news from overhearing someone say something that tickles their ears.

To be effective in totally defeating Trump, if it were able to do that, this tape would have to have been released like the “W” DWI arrest of 30 years prior was, on the Friday before the election, leaving no response time. I am sure Team Clinton has something set up for November 4.
It’s funny - it hasn’t been that many years since a post of mine (rightly) calling another FReeper a pussy for pussified behavior was pulled and me threatened with banishment. My how times change LOL.
Last week, it was the leaked tax returns that would sink him...only a week ago and seems like a distant memory. This too shall pass.
There is a way of framing the apology to minimize it. He should say that hearing himself say this now 11 years later makes him not only embarrassed, but regretful that he himself thought it was okay. But that was then and I am a much different person than I was then. Then he moves on to the issues that are important to the people and this country.
I think the timing was keyed to the wikileaks dump...which is a treasure trove of HRC wrongdoing. They had it in reserve, and used it when needed.
The lucrative gravy-train for Dims and Repukes alike ends if Trump is elected. This ludicrous P-word tempest is just cover for nervous Repukes to bail on Trump.

Liberals would ban all construction except that would be bad for the illegals.
But that didn't work, it failed, which is why they decided to release it just prior to the 2nd debate with a month to go until the election. That way they can hammer on it and other "shocking" (at least they are hoping people perceive then that way) comments made by Trump.
