Democrats were visibly frustrated and second-guessing themselves on Wednesday after Democrat Jon Ossoff lost Georgia's special congressional race the prior night.
The election outcome has caused activists and Democratic lawmakers to regroup and try to develop a new strategy for taking back the House of Representatives in 2018. Democrats had hoped to make the special election a referendum on President Donald Trump's agenda by electing Ossoff, who had raised about $25 million.
The loss hit Democrats hard, and some questioned the leadership and strategies under House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.), according to the New York Times.
"Our brand is worse than Trump," Rep. Tim Ryan (D., Ohio) said, urging Democrats to make a clear economic message an urgent priority. "We can't just run against Trump."

Until democrats understand billionaires and Hollywood multi-millionaires do NOT speak for average Americans or understand average Americans - they will continue to lose.

Haven't you been paying attention to some of the garbage in the GOP? They may not be Dims, but they sure as hell are leftists. The Republican party is willing to sell its (R) brand to anyone willing to pay whatever price they set. Hell, they even sold it to Candidate Trump and did THAT ever bite them in the ass. LOL!
That is precisely why we need to work hard and fast at booting most Republican incumbents in their primaries this year and next year. This window of opportunity to drain the swamp won't stay open forever.
“I think you’d have to be an idiot to think we could win the House with Pelosi at the top,” said Rep. Filemon Vela (D-Texas), who supported Pelosi in her last leadership race. “Nancy Pelosi is not the only reason that Ossoff lost. But she certainly is one of the reasons.”
