Over the past week, 20 polling stations set up in central Berlin invited non-German citizens to cast a symbolic general election vote. Why is the right to vote important for these residents? The Local found out.
I find it bad that Im not able to vote, Ania Seroka explained after she slipped her symbolic ballot into the box with her young son by her side.
In spite of having lived in Germany for ten years, Polish citizen Ania Seroka will not have a say in the countrys federal election less than a week away. But the social worker considers her right to vote very important, noting that employment is a particular issue of concern. I want to have the best life I can here, she said.
Seroka had stumbled upon the symbolic voting station at a neighbourhood festival in the Moabit district of Berlin on Friday, similar to a Turkish man who had been living in Germany for 30 years. When asked why he should have the right to vote, the Turkish man, who wanted to stay anonymous, said: Democracy and freedom. [ ]
Current voting laws state that only German citizens over the age of 18 may vote in federal elections. But an initiative pushing for more participation, inclusivity with political processes, and democracy for people without German passports is trying to change that.

Then move back to Poland and vote there.
I wonder how she’d feel if German citizens suddenly gained the “right to vote” in Polish elections? Hmm?
About six months ago....some German foundation did a study and found that a fair number of migrants and immigrants in Germany (to include EU states, and non-EU states)...did NOT have that much interest in getting German citizenship. They just wanted the visa, the work-privilege, lifestyle, and pension deal at the end.
The German government on the other hand....was trying to hype up citizenship and going the final step. It didn’t seem like it was selling well.
I’ve seen different German studies which talk to various nationalities. Like Russians....nine out of ten vote either for AfD or CDU. Poles tend to vote in the same pattern.
Then again, maybe it’s good she doesn’t vote in Polish elections, she’d probably vote for the PO pukes.
Germany should never been given its sovereignty. Not after WWI and then again, not after WWII.
They can’t handle nationhood.
That’s obvious.
Mene Mene Tekel MERKEL.
These people which refuse to assimilate and become citizens are still aliens. Or more accurately colonists living in a tribal fashion
Letting them vote will cause citizens votes to be nullified and turn the country into a 3rd world country. And most likely an Islamic Muslim caliphate.
Who should make decisions about a county, the citizens or “guests?”
A couple of patriotic Germans should have made a few “symbolic” arrests.
BIG FORIEGN MONEY - Symbolic Military Attack
Do a symbolic vote to investigate and imprison all foriegn big money Donors supporting the invasion scams.
Two-year-olds should vote because they best represent politicians.
And my Droid should vote because he is smarter than all those politicians.
But your Meme should not vote.
Gee, why not save them some effort and send absentee ballots to every foreigner on earth and let them choose your leaders?

Philadelphia Election Fraud Trial Pending in Federal Court
As we blogged earlier, in March 2017, a last-minute Democratic candidate, Emilio Vazquez, for the 197th Pennsylvania House race unexpectedly won a write-in campaign, after the former Democratic nominee was disqualified and another candidate could not be added to the ballot in time.
The only two candidates on the ballot were a Republican and a Green Party candidate, in a heavily Democratic district. Republicans had a shot at winning this normally Democratic state legislature seat. However, with the help of “non-partisan” poll workers, the write-in candidate won in a landslide.
This vivid case of election and vote fraud is now pending before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Currently, the case is facing pretrial motions to dismiss. Philadelphia Metro reported:
The parties on both sides of a potential lawsuit that claims illegal electioneering took place during a special election in the citys 197th Pennsylvania House District will need to wait more than six weeks before they will know if the case will be heard in federal court. . . . Judge Joel H. Slomsky requested all parties involved to submit supplemental materials after they receive a transcript of the days proceedings before he would rule on whether the case could be brought to trial.
Lawyers for both [Green Party’s Cheri] Honkala and [Republican Lucida] Little, as well as the Republican City Committee, contend that the pair were deprived of a fair election, with several alleged examples being brought up in court, including poll workers going as far as following voters into voting booths on the day of the election in order to force voters to cast their ballot for Vazquez.
