A long simmering feud between the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts has broked out into the open with the decision by the Boy Scouts to accept females in their ranks.
The controversial decision by the Boy Scouts includes a weak and confusing justification.
The Boy Scouts of America announced Wednesday that its board of directors had unanimously approved a decision to begin admitting girls into its Cub Scout program and to develop a program that will allow girls to eventually attain the rank of Eagle Scout for the first time ever.
“This decision is true to the BSA’s mission and core values outlined in the Scout Oath and Law. The values of Scouting – trustworthy, loyal, helpful, kind, brave and reverent, for example – are important for both young men and women,” said Michael Surbaugh, the BSA’s Chief Scout Executive in a news release.
The organization has offered programs that include girls for decades, such as the Venturing high-adventure program and Explorers career-shadowing program. But this is the first time the organization has opened up its traditional programs to girls, including the option to reach Eagle Scout, a distinction only about 2 percent of scouts have ever achieved, according to the BSA.
A news release from the BSA said that high interest from parents and a desire to serve busy modern families contributed to the decision, as well as a more general desire to expand scouting programs to include as many people as possible.

The two scouting programs emphasize different skills development, Selling cookies does not teach them to bake but to develop business skills. The more physical BSA program is about leadership training.

Also - this should tear it for the LDS types - even if the ‘gay’ thing didn’t.
Once LDS support goes away, it is just a matter of time - a short time - for the National org to shutter their doors.
I think it’s a good move. Both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are being treated to the divisive Leftist doctrines trying to split American society into as many factions as possible. The Boy Scouts sound like they have figured out the game and are shutting it down. They are uniting American kids into one organization. The troops themselves will be broken down with boys in one and girls in others, but by grabbing both they blew up the Left’s game plan.
The Girl Scouts is dead, and the organization deserves its fate. The Boy Scouts might be getting a lot of flack on this but they did just strike a huge blow for unity, which is the thing that will totally shut down the Left. Game over, don’t let the door hit you where the Good Lord split you!

I'm sure that's true, but I've been reading that another factor is parents wanting their daughters in the more preferable Boy Scout programs; such as Eagle. "God & Country" is another good BSA program, as is "Order of the Arrow."
Dream on. This wasn’t Boy Scouts standing up for traditional America. This was them accepting the demands of the left. A natural progression after letting moms run troops, homos in, etc.
How long until the authorities will be able to send you to jail in California for using the improper gender specific pronoun when describing a scout who self identifies as the opposite sex?
The "romantic" languages such as French, Spanish, and Italian are definitely in trouble with all their "la's" and "le's" identifying inanimate objects as male and female. This is very sexist and the use of those languages in California should be banned. How do you think it makes a table or a bicycle feels to be sexually misidentified? Shameful!

I have seven children and none of them will ever be in the Girl/Boy/Gay/Lesbian/Queer Scouts.

They’re just mad that girls will end up with the boy scouts and not them. Maybe the girls have had enough of the homosexuality and abortion indoctrination. The perverts have infiltrated both organizations and both probably won’t be lasting much longer.
I don’t think so because the war of the sexes is the weapon the Left has exploited above all others to divide the country. I think the Boy Scouts are crazy like a fox on this.
The vote was unanimous which tells me they have something up their sleeves.
