The San Francisco 49ers weighed in on the national firearms debate Thursday, announcing their $500,000 donation to push for more gun control and a ban on bump stocks.
The team is partnering with local and national law enforcement in an effort to create a “safer America,” by banning silencers and and armor piercing rounds, according to ESPN writer Nick Wagoner.
A portion of the donation will also fund public service announcements geared towards police brutality and violence.

Once they made their club into a social justice cause....it was no longer a sport. It might as well be wrestling-type entertainment with fake characters, etc. It’ll be interesting in three years to watch it disintegrate with the business model a total failure.

The NFL has lost its concussed mind.
Completely turn off the NFL. If you have Directv simply tell them to remove the NFL channel. Millions have done that reducing the revenue paid to the NFL from the subscribers. Seats are empty but wait until next year. If you haver spent $3000 for season tickets , you are going to go. That is all they have in the stands but next year many will not spend the $3000 to watch anti American black employees desecrate our flag and our anthem on our money. I predict 30% drop in season tickets. Never allow this to continue.

To be fair, SF 49’ers fans might be so desperate after the past couple of seasons, that maybe they should be kept away from firearms. /S

Once they stopped letting people carry inside their stadiums, the NFL’s anti-2A position was made clear. This is not a surprise.
The 49ers stadium can crumble to dust in the next big earthquake for all I care.
