So NBC knew about this dirtbags actions and did nothing. These victims deserve just compensation from NBC. That will not remove their trauma. How long before the NYPD acts?

"where he had sex with a married staffer until she passed out "

Stuff like this is where the story starts to sound fishy..

Unless the room was soundproof, or she was tied up and gagged and unable to scream, I have a hard time believing this statement.

Having had sex once or twice I vaguely remember it does not involve someone 'passing out'

I am not saying Matt Lauer is guilty or innocent- but this one statement lacks credible detail, although it is the main charge against him.

That is usually the sign of deception. Giving great detail about trivial things, but zooming right over the most significant part of the story.

Something doesn’t sound right here. Sex until she passed out? Was she drunk? Were there drugs involved a la Bill Cosby?

“Sounds like a rape to me..”

Probably because it is rape. Andrew Luster drugged his rape victims and was convicted.

And with Lauer locking his door to keep women from escaping, how is that not kidnapping? Has anyone mentioned kidnapping?

Absolutely agree.

I have NO Doubt that SOME of these allegations of past misconduct are true and are very wrenching for the ladies involved.

But, really...this is getting ridiculous. “She said” is now the pronouncement of guilt. [See Garrison Keillor also...]

“Having had sex once or twice I vaguely remember it does not involve someone ‘passing out’”

If given date rape drug, passing out could be possible.

The assistant can vouch for story if true

Hard to believe he would leave a woman half naked on his floor during work hours if he had just raped her

If this story is true....just wow that he had that kind of hubris

I’ve read elsewhere that numerous executives at 30 Rock have the hidden push button locks. It created the perception that once you reached a certain level, you got your lock and could prey on the female staff. Lauer won’t be the only slaughtered from this sty. I’d expect the HR Department will be pretty busy in the coming days.

Women can be raped to death, so the passing out part - and in fact the whole story - is quite believable. He was probably up to the gills in Viagra and thought this was proving what a stud he was. Like Hugh Hefner, Lauer was a sex-obsessed, powerful sicko. (Some of the women Hugh Hefner brought to his place had to be taken to the hospital afterwards, although Hefner didn’t do it himself but hired male porn stars with huge equipment so he could watch their pain.)

As for the door, the doors in an executive suite are often very thick, precisely to prevent sounds from being audible outside. Theoretically, this is to prevent eavesdropping on high-level conversations. Having a lock on such a door that can be controlled remotely is not unusual.
