More than a 100 civil and human rights groups are urging senators to oppose Brett Kavanaugh, President Trumps latest Supreme Court nominee.
In a Tuesday letter, led by the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the groups say Kavanaugh will be a fifth and decisive vote to undermine a host of core rights and legal protections, including economic security and access to healthcare, abortion, voting and labor rights. The groups, which include the NAACP, Lamba Legal and Demand Justice, also the rights of immigrants and persons with disabilities, LGBTQ equality, equal opportunity, affirmative action and environmental protections all could be endangered by Kavanaugh joining the high court.
Many of our organizations opposed Judge Kavanaughs nomination to the D.C. Circuit, and our fears and concerns have been realized. Judge Kavanaugh has not served as a neutral and fair-minded jurist. He has served as a conservative ideologue who lacks the impartiality and independence necessary to sit on the highest court in the land, the letter reads.
The groups, which also include NARAL Pro-Choice America, the National Bar Association and the Sierra Club, urge senators to grill Kavanaugh about what he knew about allegations that former 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Alex Kozinski sexually harassed his law clerks. The groups note that Kavanaugh formerly clerked for and remained friends with the judge, who resigned over the allegations in December.
The groups also pressed senators on the Judiciary Committee to ensure all requested documents relating to Kavanaughs extensive record are produced and examined.
It has been publicly reported that there could be in excess of a million pages of documents from Judge Kavanaughs work in the Bush White House, they wrote.
The significant number of documents that exists is likely the reason that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein recently made an unprecedented and inappropriate request for more than 100 federal prosecutors and attorneys to assist in document review.
WOW , Brett Kavanaugh is a Real Superman he can do everything ,LOL
Yep — he is the right guy for the job.
The funny thing to me is this is all kabuki theater.
Brett Kavanaugh will be confirmed, frat name and all (and my best childhood friend was named Brett so screw the little people who think a normal name is somehow an issue).
Why should we care if it's a hundred ‘groups’ or a thousand? Most of the groups are fake - organized with the money of corrupt elites. Rent a mob... Low IQ thugs - and puffed up 'elites'... yuck.
And 65 million Trump voters want him.
I guess we win?
Roll MAGA, Roll!
organized howling.
OFA Obama's shadow government for Socialism/Marxism...could be Messina is still working for Obama, in part, ginning up all this cruel criticism hurled at President Trump and his family.
A little research turned this up: Up until 2002, Messina was still largely unknown. But that year, when managing Baucuss Senate re-election campaign, he released one of the more homophobic ads of modern political times. This sort of scumminess put Messina on the map in Democratic circles. He also became known as a world class asshole who kept an enemies list on an Excel spreadsheet. Everybody was a douchebag, says a person who knew him then. He kept score.
Hummmmmm....
This confirms Trump has nominated the right candidate.
“More than a 100 civil and human rights groups are urging senators to oppose Brett Kavanaugh”
And, every damn one of them funded, in some way, by Soros and the OWG crowd.
Time to water the tree of Liberty? Perhaps. Perhaps.

Thanks yesthatjallen.
"Human" rights, OTOH is queers.
Not sure where the baby killers fall in this continuum, though. Guess they could go either way; switch hitters, if you will.
The same money and big backers are behind all the groups - Mercedes Marxists all of them. They are different groups in name only, and merely to make small donors think they are unique and with unique purpose. They are all part of a Leftist industry that must act loud to attract attention to themselves, so the “media” has a reason to report them, to make their big donor’s investment look good.
He’s using a plastic straw. Impeach him now!
If any of these really cared about “human rights” they would want a constitutionalist.
They socialists, hence human rights is at the bottom of their list.
This is all kabuki theater, anyway
I also heard that he opens up a jar of peanut butter and it with his finger.
Most of these groups do not want a judge that will follow the Constitution (which is what they are supposed to do). They want judges that will legislate from the bench in a far leftward direction.
Sorry but we are done with that nonsense. We are putting judges in that will follow the Constitution.
Yes you have the freedom to think you are a girl even though you are a boy. Neither you or the Government has the right to force us to agree with you!
I was wondering how many of the organizations were made up.
When my son was in high school, he founded several “high sounding” clubs, he was the founder, president and in some cases sole member. Looked great on a college application.
Despite all this half-a$$ed noise Kavanaugh will be approved.
Jeez, 100 moronic organizations wants to rejuct the pick. I guess Trump got a great judge nominee.
Abortion is their calling. It is quite sickening to equate killing a baby to a human right.
