Paul is not the only one to float the idea of an address delivered from the Senate floor as an alternative. CBS reported on Thursday that even the White House was considering the possibility.

This elevates her as an opponent. Then the media will give this “powerful” woman a bigger platform. Trump is doing the right thing by ignoring her.

Nancy Pelosi and her reactions will be fully visible during the speech, the way the Speaker and VP normally sit right behind the president during a State of the Union speech.

Maybe part of what’s going on, is that they don’t want Nancy on camera all night.

As Mark Levin also said last night.

Good idea Rand. And glad you listened to my show last night. https://t.co/p5a4rB5tBQ— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) January 17, 2019

A better strategy IMO is to ignore Pelosi and proceed with the traditional SOTU in Congress. BAU.

Imagine the optics of a Speaker of the House trying to stop a President from entering and delivering the SOTU address? The MSM would love to carry it. Trump would eat that up and easily win that battle and prevail. Perhaps Pelosi and the dems don’t show up. So what?

Mark Levin urged Trump to do this on his radio show last night.

“Senator McConnell is in charge of the Senate,” Paul tweeted Thursday morning.

McConnell isn't in charge of the Senate, Pence is. Why couldn't he issue an invitation?

Trump. Ignore her. Walk into the House to deliver SOTU with or without invitation. If they say it is illegal and improper, just point out that you thought you would try to please the liberals by crossing over illegally since that is what they want?!

Pelosi has overplayed her hand, while Trump plays her like a fiddle.

Pelosi first said the Secret Service couldn’t provide security.

Then after the SS said they were prepared, she said they shouldn’t be forced to provide security if they aren’t getting paid.

But Pelosi is protected by Capitol Police, and they are not getting paid either. But Pelosi is still expecting them to protect her, so . . .

Given RBG’s current challenges, there’s an extra seat right there.

Trump should do it from the White House press room. He’d be in total control. No Pelosi; no house democrats. No Schumer; no senate democrats. Invite only republicans from the house and senate; and members of SCOTUS. Plus, a bunch of ‘victims’ of the democrats’ government shutdown, and another bunch of victims of the illegal aliens.

I think he should do his SOTU via live feed from a “secret location” and not grace these people with his presence at all.

Senate is way smaller than the House. So... why not make it Donations to the Wall Fund required.
