Earth's Thick Ice Sheets Are Young

Secular scientists have assigned vast ages—multiple hundreds of thousands of years—to the Dome Fuji, Vostok, and EPICA Dome C ice cores in Antarctica.1-3 They also claim to have counted more than 110,000 annual layers in Greenland’s deep GISP2 core.4 For this reason, some biblical skeptics think ice cores prove an old earth. However, the argument is not as strong as it appears, and there is positive evidence the ice sheets are young.

The earth is exceedingly old. The Creator I serve has made it that way.
Agreed. It's like my young adult kids thinking they can enjoy a fancy lifestyle immediately w/o appreciating how long my wife and I took to build up to build up the comfortable lifestyle my kids enjoyed.

People were riding dinosaurs around only 3000 years ago talking about how those new ice sheets were so crazy.
Could it be that the layers in ice deposits are from individual snowstorms and not from a single season? Just a thought. If so then it would appear that it took longer to form an ice sheet.
The argument is circular. The claim is that time sped up so that millions, nay billions, of years passed in the time of a few modern years. You cannot prove or disprove this because this is what in physics is called a coordinate change. You get a clock where a million years is represented by a second. So you rescale all of your equations to the new clock, up to about 10,000 years ago when you revert back to our ordinary clock. It isn't even a slight of hand. There is no trick at all.
God gave us a universe where the laws of physics can be written in a form that is immutable under such coordinate changes. The number of revolutions around the sun, measured relative to a very distant galaxy is the same, whatever clock you use to tell years. In fact, that is how astronomers used to define a year [now it is so many vibrations of an atomic clock - but that is to indulge pedantry that makes no difference to the present argument]

Besides, God can't just "speed up" the universe, "run the tape forward" and then slow it down for appearance sake. That would require the one thing God himself cannot do: LIE. Such insanity makes God a liar, and that I won't accept.
