How to hold unvaccinated Americans accountable
The Hill ^ | 01/09/22 | GLENN C. ALTSCHULER

Posted on 01/10/2022 6:34:51 AM PST by artichokegrower

s the omicron variant of the novel coronavirus spreads across the United States, roughly 15 percent of adults remain unvaccinated. At the greatest risk for severe illness and death, they have already overwhelmed hospitals and intensive care units in many areas of the country, reducing services available to people who have non-COVID-19 related medical issues.

Gee Where are the editorials about obesity and legal marijuana users and nonexercisers and poor dieters?

And corrupt self-serving career politicians who keep pushing vaccinations and denigrating the non-vaccinated

Tell ya what, I will agree to pay for any bout with covid I should suffer 100% out of my own pocket.

in return

I must be guaranteed 100% exemption from any payments for increased health care costs of those who took the “vaccine”. That means if we find massive negative health outcomes - other than all the deaths and injuries already - then you cannot raise my taxes or my insurance premiums or reduce my wages one penny.

Deal?

I think we all know they won’t take that deal. Just as anybody with even half a brain should know if smokers and purebloods can be discriminated against then how about the obese? How about people who don’t wear their seat belts? How about people who don’t exercise enough? There are LOTS of bad habits people have which have negative outcomes for their health. Ergo there are lots more people to target.

the omicron variant of the novel coronavirus...

Anyone who still uses the word "novel", over two years into this virus, is obviously an unintelligent parrot.

right now in the UK where they collect a lot of detailed data vaccinated people in some age groups are twice as likely to have a COVID case as unvaccinated people.

You can't really tell that from this table because vaccinated people may be more likely to get a test. Anyone who thinks the whole thing is a hoax probably won't get a test until they are really sick.

Your table does show that unvaccinated people are much more likely to be hospitalized or to die because of covid.

I hope you are receiving good treatment now. Obviously it doesn't make any sense to keep people away from doctor appointments for six weeks after covid (unless somehow the illness had weakened their body to make them ineligible for a certain kind of treatment). I would expect that policy was from from early in the pandemic and has changed now.

In my opinion all the moon-landing-was-fake conspiracy theories never made sense because this would have involved hundreds of thousands of people who worked on the moon landing to have lied and to have all kept the secret forever.

In the same way, it doesn't make sense that all the tens of thousands of doctors and nurses treating covid are lying about many hospitals being overwhelmed. I follow a variety of doctors and nurses online and I see them talking about the immense pressure and that it is getting worse because nurses are quitting from overwork and from PTSD of seeing so many people die.

“My medicine won’t work unless you take it too” is magical thinking.

No, that's the whole theory behind vaccines, which is has been successful in eliminating many major diseases. Why are school kids required to have vaccinations? It's as much to prevent an outbreak as to protect them as individuals.

Negative.
If it doesn’t work it doesn’t work no matter what.
And yes, it is magical thinking to claim the unjabbed must take a jab that failed to protect the jabbed.
Never has the failure of a treatment been blamed on those who didn’t take it.
Until now.

Mr. Alschuler, what are YOU going to do when life insurance carriers start charging YOU a 50% surcharge because you’ve intentionally subjected your body to and unproven drug of dubious efficacy that causes other actuarily-relevant issues? Will you be so vocal then? Will you scream ‘freedom?’

15%?! Are they seriously saying that our nationwide vaccination rates are at 85% and that’s NOT ENOUGH?!

I think it's closer to 70 or 75 percent.

Early on in the scam-demic we were told that right around the 70% to 80% vaccination or infection percentage we would achieve "herd immunity." So what happened?

Anthony Fauci admission:

When polls said only about half of all Americans would take a vaccine, I was saying herd immunity would take 70 to 75 percent ... Then, when newer surveys said 60 percent or more would take it, I thought, "I can nudge this up a bit," so I went to 80, 85. We need to have some humility here .... We really don’t know what the real number is. I think the real range is somewhere between 70 to 90 percent. But, I'm not going to say 90 percent.

That was exactly a year ago. My family had a COVID Christmas. It was just before vaxes. (MIL died of it Jan 6.)

It may be that SOME hospitals are swamped. For a year or so my doc uncle and nurse aunt said it was bogus at their smaller-town/rural hospital (which had closed up beds to be just for COVID). My niece worked the COVID unit at Hopkins from the start for a year. She is sick of the hysteria now (yes she is vaxed), how PTB let everything fall apart based on this fear.

Remember, too, that those who work in these environments see this constantly. Unlike those of us outside who are NOT seeing people die in the street, if we are honest with ourselves.

So in other words like a typical elitist {censored} he thinks he knows what's best for the little people and is willing to lie to us "for our own good." He is so wrapped up in his own self-aggrandizing he thinks he can come right out and admit it and we're either too stupid to see it or we'll all simply say thank you for lying to us and taking care of us in our ignorance. What a {censored}.

Life lesson for all the younger freepers out there who may not have twigged on to this yet. Whenever someone comes out and says they are being humble or showing humility, it means anything but. That is a big red flag that you are probably, almost certainly dealing with someone who is conceited to the core and thinks it is just another sign of how much smarter/better-looking/capable/etc he/she is to you that he/she can pretend to show a little humility. It actually makes them feel even more superior. A truly humble person does not have to profess it in order to feel good about it - kind of flies in the face of being humble...

You can't really tell that from this table because vaccinated people may be more likely to get a test.

Your response to the data seems to be evidence of someone trying to bend the data to their previously held ideas.

Your hypothesis to explain the data is that vaccinated people in the UK get themselves tested at a rate twice that of unvaccinated people in an environment where testing is mandatory in many situations, and apparently mandatory in more situations among the unvaccinated.

In addition, in order to get twice the rate of confirmed infections among the vaccinated as the unvaccinated what do you think the "breakthrough" rate has to be?

Wouldn't a simpler explanation be that vaccines distributed in the UK have limited effectiveness after a fairly short period of time and against new COVID strains?
