“Here I am talking. Half the time I don’t understand what the heck they are saying. lol “
You’re so cute spunky!! lol
What the heck. I click on the link and see an elephant etc and when I then click to view it, it says video not available.
that’s me!!! Same here too if I did copper highlights the night before.
In this case,a storm. That is,afaik.
Nope. IIRC, it was at night and I went to bed.
Thanks for speaking up because we all could not find a better place to speak our minds so freely without Free Republic!
aFYI, my iPad and laptop are out of power.
“Without electricity here.”
A few weeks back my son, DIL, her son and GD rented a cabin in the Cascade Mountains to go skying. First night the electricity goes out and it is like -4 degrees. They did have wood for a wood stove and flash lights. The electricity was out all 3 days they were there. They were able to charge their cell phones at the little market as they had a generator.
My DIL became a believer in what she had thought was a conspiricy theory when people talked about the powers that be shutting off your electricity. Well that is exactly what they did. They shut off the power to this region as they figured most of them would have generators where King County, Seattle area wouldn’t.
Funny thing she said she rather enjoyed it for that short time as it brought more closeness and figuring out what to do.

I loved it when the electricity went out at our Sierra cabin. I felt like I was living a Thoreauvian life. There’s Something About Life becoming very simple when you have to worry about the usually little things, and there’s no room to think about much more.
We’ve had power and water go out. Not at the same time thank goodness. I’d much rather have no power. Having no water was difficult, even though it was winter and I could melt snow
I just sent this story and image to my younger brother.
He had to put his canine companion of 16 years down earlier today.
The dog was a Chow/? mixed breed pup that he rescued at a cemetery. His friend who was with him when they encountered the stray pup, chose the name Bonez, in an ode to the graveyard’s residents.
My brother cried uncontrollably more than once today. He’s 53 and I am 66. I told him in my headline of the e-mail that I just sent... “Dogs, man’s best friend. I saw it today in your tears. Love ya!”
There are some BIG-LEAGUE memes posted onto this thread on a daily basis. KEEP IT UP!
I’m out looking for more luxury dining cars to buy, to couple up to the Trump Family Train.
The logistics is a nightmare, but it drives the prices way down.
Wish me luck!
Those are great!!
My fav is the hissing booth, of course!! Scratches $1, lol!!
Lovely!!! We’ll eat chowing down in style, for however long we have left!
LMAO!
The cat take down is epic!
Toby Keith story-
In 2006, I was in a lovely garden spot in the middle east- Al Qaim, Iraq. It was a railroad station, railhead, maintenance depot, etc.
On a USO tour, Toby Keith was tasked with traveling to Al Qaim.
As a carpenter, I, and my shop crew teammates, were tasked with assembling a stage. The cool or beneficial aspect for the assembly crew was that we could hang out at the stage in support of any need that might arise, during the concert.
Unfortunately for me, I got orders to travel to Kuwait, to undergo thorough medical testing to determine if I had some blood born issue, as I tripped some alarm when I agreed to donate my blood to wounded Iraqis, bombed in a local terrorist attack.
By the time I got back to base, Toby Keith and his entourage were long gone.
Later, and at a different base, me and a crew of fellow tradesmen, constructed a stage for Charlie Daniels.
Good times.
They had to drag Charlie Daniels, kicking and screaming, off the stage when a dust storm hit the base.
He was taken to the base movie theater, where he signed autographs.
