But I expect the Tin hat crowd will come in and say they fabricated this evidence and then bulldozed the scene for some "vast conspiracy" ala Hilliary Clinton. Do you have any proof they DIDN'T fabricate the....I'll come in again.
To: tbeatty
Would this be the same coroner who did the autopsy on Vince Foster??? Or Ron Brown??? Since there was question "from the kops" as to who shot the policeman, odds are good that the bullet passed thru...Hence, NO BALLISTIC EVIDENCE...
Like we keep saying, Don't destroy the evidence before an independent expert can examine it...
Do you actually want us to believe that someone from the BATF, FBI, or Federal Marshalls needs to be present at a standard home search/arrest???...The County Sheriff's office is no longer qualified to do these things???
The initial reports claimed that the warrant was a "sealed" warrant...What's that mean??? Does that mean that Beck wasn't allowed to actually see the warrant???

There are a lot of unanswered questions. We know that the BATF is a"cowboy" outfit that for some perverse reason really likes these high-profile shoot-outs. Perhaps its because they figure Congress will give them more money if they demonstrate how much they are needed to weed out all these "gun-loving miscreants". The best one can say about this little event is that its fortunate that some of the neighbors were not killed in the cross-fire. It also serves as an example of really poor police work.

In Texas, it is. The perp automatically qualifies for the death penalty. I know that this is the case in numerous areas of the country. I certainly don't condone violence against cops OR AGAINST ANYONE ELSE, including us lowly civilians. But it really riles me when people start preaching about how the worst possible form of murder is to be a "cop-killer", as if all the rest of us somehow have second-class lives, not worthy of the same protection. When we award such status to one elite group, who also happens to be the group who has the guns, the access to the system, and with whom we are not supposed to argue, this is not looking good for the common man. Not good at all.

So since when does this constitute "amassing weaponsThe more fundamental question is why is "amassing weapons" considered a crime?
To: tbeatty
Not much difference between the LA Times and Der Stürmer. Don't expect them to criticize jackbooted thugs.

Just for the sake of argument, let's say you have 2 scenarios:
1- Man shoots deputy in the face as he tries to enter man's house, deputy later dies.
2- Man shoots unknown civilian in the face as he tries to enter man's house, unknown civilian later dies.
Do you consider the one scenario to be a more serious crime than the other, deserving greater scorn and punishment?
Depends on if the entry was lawful of not. If entry 1 was lawful, and entry 2 was not, they are different.
But in this case, Beck shot the deputy as he crouched behnd an SUV from his second story window. I don't think it's lawful to shoot policeman outside your home from your second story window.

In that case the BATF was negligent for it going bad and should be held accountable.
Unfortunately, it won't be.

Felony firearms violations? Sounds alot like the media claims that he broke the law concerning "weapons stockpiling". Just for the record, in the burned out rubble of his home they found an AK, an AR, a shotgun, and a really dangerous .380 pistol. Thats one heckuva weapons stockpile.
Two more questions. Didn't the Phoenix PD shoot one of their own last month and vigorously blame some guy they shot to death? Also, was it Fred Zain who confirmed the ballistics?

The more fundamental question is why is "amassing weapons" considered a crime?Absolutely...If he'd a had a hundred of them, he couldn't shoot more than two at a time...Unless his dog was more well trained than we could imagine...

Follow the link. No 'Friendly Fire.' Beck is cop killer. No better than George Rivas. He would and should have received the needle if he had survived. You still don't get it.

If a major event like this occurs with every single report being the same, it's a sign that it was scripted in advance.

They were searching for a single weapon to effect an arrest of a convicted felon with firearms.

Considering that this gentleman is a convicted felon, and was thus barred from owning firearms at all, yes, it is "amassing weapons." Next silly uestion, please.

"The Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed Monday that Kuredjian died from a mortal head wound but said the official autopsy report would not be made public for at least several days."

No sense waiting for the coroner's report before you make up your mind. Can you or anyone provide more details on what specific felonies Beck had been convicted of. Can anyone give a date of a conviction, a court or jurisdiction, a judge's name, a defense attorney's name, details on the sentence, where the sentence was served. This kind of hard evidence would go along way to dispell the rumors flying. The offices with this information have an obligation to make it available to prevent this tragedy from growing into a "Ruby Ridge." All the advocates of executing citizens in their homes before a trial are not interested in facts. I request the assistance of anyone interested in facts to point me in the right direction to document the specifics of Beck's felony status. It needs to be quickly posted on FR to put this story in perspective.

Are you suggesting that an editorial in the LA Times is believable? That I should actually believe what they print. I watched the whole darned thing and a picture is worth a thousand words.

Let me try a different tact.
What level of accountability should the government agents be held to in this event?
