I didn't post the entire L.A. Times story. Follow the link. No 'Friendly Fire.' Beck is cop killer. No better than George Rivas. He would and should have received the needle if he had survived.

Anyone care to retract the bilge about friendly fire they've been posting?

I still want to know why the ATF was involved. And why they lied, and why they used poor tactics... etc.

It's too bad that the deputy's superiors were so careless with his life and that as a result he died.

If you truly believe someone is stockpiling guns you do not confront them in the place where they may be keeping them.

His superiors were negligent.

This can't be!

You mean patriot Beck is actually GUILTY of what he admitted during negotiations; that is, that he did, in fact, shoot the deputy?

He also said he didn't want to go to jail for the rest of his life (he knew he would go, and he was tired of being somebody's girlfriend.).

But I expect the Tin hat crowd will come in and say they fabricated this evidence and then bulldozed the scene for some "vast conspiracy" ala Hilliary Clinton.

May the fires that engulfed his house pale in comparison to the burning this jerk gets in the eternal flames of hell...

Cop killers suck.

Just for the sake of argument, let's say you have 2 scenarios:

1- Man shoots deputy in the face as he tries to enter man's house, deputy later dies.

2- Man shoots unknown civilian in the face as he tries to enter man's house, unknown civilian later dies.

Do you consider the one scenario to be a more serious crime than the other, deserving greater scorn and punishment?

from another thread..."Two assault rifles, a shotgun, a semiautomatic pistol and other handguns...were recovered."

So since when does this constitute "amassing weapons"? There are a heck of a lot of unanswered questuions about this little raid; it would appear that the whole thing was bungled much in the same way that Waco was.

Not much difference between the LA Times and Der Stürmer. Don't expect them to criticize jackbooted thugs.

"The Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed Monday that Kuredjian died from a mortal head wound but said the official autopsy report would not be made public for at least several days."

__________________________________________________

No sense waiting for the coroner's report before you make up your mind. Can you or anyone provide more details on what specific felonies Beck had been convicted of. Can anyone give a date of a conviction, a court or jurisdiction, a judge's name, a defense attorney's name, details on the sentence, where the sentence was served. This kind of hard evidence would go along way to dispell the rumors flying. The offices with this information have an obligation to make it available to prevent this tragedy from growing into a "Ruby Ridge." All the advocates of executing citizens in their homes before a trial are not interested in facts. I request the assistance of anyone interested in facts to point me in the right direction to document the specifics of Beck's felony status. It needs to be quickly posted on FR to put this story in perspective.

Are you suggesting that an editorial in the LA Times is believable? That I should actually believe what they print. I watched the whole darned thing and a picture is worth a thousand words.

Let me try a different tact.

What level of accountability should the government agents be held to in this event?

"...hot tear gas canisters...?"

Shouldn't that read "burning, incendiary, pyrotechnic, CS tear gas canisters?"

Yeah, you're right . . . Beck is a scumbag!
And . . . the BATF are a bunch of incompetent morons!
I don't care for either one of them.

"The slain deputy was wearing a motorcycle helmet. Sheriff's investigators theorized that Beck used a sight to target the helmet, firing a round that fragmented once it hit the helmet's visor. A fragment of that bullet penetrated the visor and the main body of the fiberglass helmet before entering the deputy's head near the right temple. It passed through his skull and brain and then lodged in his left cheek, Peavy said."

___________________________________________________

Bullet trajectories are generally determined by determining the position of body at the time of impact and determining the angle of entry of the bullet. Since the bullet fragmented when it hit the visor, the trajectory of the fragment would be inconclusive. Any competent investigator would know that, so as a person maintaining an open mind, why would the department make such misleading statements?

Please do not abandon your common sense in your analysis of this tragedy. Primarily this is a tragedy for the deputy's family and loved ones. We do them no justice in closing our eyes.

If Beck is firing from the second floor and the bullet of a high powered rifle strikes his visor, the trajectory would continue downward toward his chin, not his temple.

Waiting for the coroner's report would be prudent for anyone interested in the truth.

Maybe Beck really IS "evil personified" as portrayed by the government apologists on this forum.
The evidence that we had to work with indicated the opposite.
(And there are still a LOT of questions about what really went on.
Questions that won't get answered with the evidence gone.)

There are plenty of other cases where the police/feds WERE in the wrong...and were proven to be.
And our government apologists are right there screaming "f the trial, off the perp"
If the apologists had their way, the criminals in uniform in THOSE cases would walk
EVERY time since they scream "cop-hater" at anyone that might question what went on.
Questioning the official story is what this site is SUPPOSED to be all about.
(Unless you happen to be a government stooge or lickspittle apologist.)

And they have the nerve to blame the liberals for what is happening in this country!
The blame belongs to the government apologists, aka enablers for those that attack our freedom.
They are the ones that ALLOW the criminals in the fed to get away with their crimes.
And they too gutless to take a hard look at themselves and admit it.
