Do you know what the difference is between an Israeli and a Jew?

Just because someone is a Jew, doesn't mean they are an Israeli citizen, and vice-versa.

One interesting fact about Debka: they now have a writer listed in the web site code and have a new page listing some sources/ people who have used their info/ etc. This is a change. Previously, when I tried to get info on the "site owners" I found nothing. They have gone much more mainstream. Is it all true - well how would I know? But I found the changes interesting. BTW, they posted an article which stated that there had been a terrorist attempt on Sec. Powells life (an ambulance driver, ambulance contained expolsives under a dead body.) I know Michael Savage talked about it on Friday. Haven't heard any other media sources reporting this though...

Has Israel ever issued a 'Code 8' before? If so, when was the last time?

They issued a 'Code 8' in 1967 ... I worked at Expo '67 that summer in Montreal; the Israeli pavilion was closed as a result of the '67 war for about three weeks. It seems many of the people who worked there also served in the Israeli military. They flew home, kicked butt, then came back to Expo '67 and re-opened their pavilion.

FWIW, I just sent this story to about 25 papers and 25 "opinionators"-- like Rush & Hannity.

While I don't doubt the earnestness of your new neighbor, unless the Arabs have several really large nukes or a lot of small ones, I don't believe Israel will be obliterated. And I suspect our response would be devastating. So while it may come to that, I wouldn't hit the panic button yet- just keep a weather eye peeled in that direction.
