Dear Honorable Kofi Annan,

On April 19. 2002, the Security Council, on your personal initiative, adopted unanimously Resolution # 1205:

"Welcomed the initiative of the Secretary-General to develop accurate information regarding recent events in the Jenin refugee camp through a fact-finding team and requests him to keep the Security Council informed"

Unfortunately, as a result of the Israeli government's decision to prevent the fact-finding mission from doing its job, you disbanded that fact-finding mission eventhough, according to both "Amnesty International" as well as "Human Rights Watch", the abuses documented in Jenin are extremely serious, and in some cases appear to be war crimes. Both organizations concluded that criminal investigations are urgently and necessarily needed to ascertain individual responsibility for the most serious violations. Dear Mr. Secretary-General,

We, Citizens Of The World, consider it to be illegal, immoral and unacceptable that the Israeli leadership gets it both ways: Preventing the fact-finding mission from doing its job and escaping Justice. The truth, all the truth and nothing but the truth should be made known about what had happened in Jenin.

Therefore we hereby urge you, in the name of all the principles for which the United Nations stands:

"To do what it takes so that the Israeli Prime Minister, the Israeli Defense Minister as well as the Chief of staff of the Israeli Army be indicted of war crimes before the "International Criminal Court".

Introducing the Jenin case before the newly constituted "International Criminal Court", which will enter in force on July 1. 2002, will be a clear signal that the international community will not accept anymore that international crimes to remain unpunished.

We look forward to your continued quest for the truth on this matter.
