Another Clinton barf alert from NW Ohio
The Sandusky Register (www.sanduskyregister.com) ^ | Rufus G. W. Sanders

I will post because the website is turning over to a pay site, although you can sign up for limited free days.

the article: Clinton left global legacy Bill Clinton squandered an opportunity to become one of the most important political figures in American history when he allowed his lack of self-control to interfer with his public responsibility. But his frailties will never negate the fact that he was probably one of America's brightest, politically talented and most promising social visionaries of the last century. His views forged the only real alternative to the laissez-faire, populist, rightist era of Reagan and the first Bush. With his doctrine of finding the middle or "third way," he was able to adjust the views of ultra-liberal socialists and old FDR social-democrats to fit post-Cold War, post-civil rights America. He even was able to influence the Europeans to change their political thinking ,with the elections of people who shared his views in Italy, France, Germany, Great Britain and Holland. Now that he is gone from office, the only European leaders who share the views are British Prime Minister Tony Blair and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroder, who will unfortunately probably lose his election later this year.

Clinton reversed the fear of the use of military force that the Democrats had developed after the Vietnam War, making it a necessary principle of diplomacy. The last time that the Democrats were faced with the use of military force was when they voted to use economic sanctions against Saddem Hussein when he invaded Kuwait. Had the Democrats been a little more forceful during the Gulf War, maybe we would not be dealing with the possibility of invading Iraq now. The Clinton Doctrine, though, called for military action once there was a breakdown in diplomacy. He did this in the Balkans where, to this day, relative peace reigns. He did this always to create nations where the will of the people could prevail, unlike Reagan and the elder Bush, who left the people of Afganhistan and Iran alone, wretched, wanting and confused.

While Clinton could cloak U.S. policy in terms of "world order" and globalization, he exercised the powers of sovereignty. He tried to foster a more open and productive world economy. And he tried to include in the new world order mentioned by George H.W. Bush more than just the western world. He always engaged and encouraged others to bear a heavier burden in keeping the order and the peace. He always understood the necessity of bilateral and multilateral relations -- unlike the present administration, self-acknowledged unilateralists who would pull America out of the United Nations if they could get away with it.

Clinton never forgot the visions of Franklin Roosevelt and remained faithful to the ideals of a society that was compassionate, just and accommodating for all, but he linked welfare and social justice to rights, responsibilities and accountability.

His economic policies enriched an entire world. He can be credited with the beginning of globalization and the concept of the world village. He created a capitalism that was regulated to the point where the government would make sure that there was full employment, deficit spending, protection of trade and strict labor protection where organized labor was assured of a decent standard of living.

He created the boom years of the 1990s. His was an economy that depended on a market that moved at its own volition, but with governmental guidance and advice to make sure that workers were always protected from poverty and profit manipulation.

The Clinton Doctrine tried everything within its power to expand access to health care, protect the Social Security system and make sure that adequate spending on education was always a top priority.

Under George W. Bush, we have diverted to policies of social marginalization. We are beginning to experience the effects of real economic stagnation. We just can't seem to get our balance. We, like the Europeans, are overly concerned about issues such as immigration, corporate welfare, privatization and the like, while budget deficits are beginning to rise. While the president continues to use the so-called war on terrorism to stifle and control just about every aspect of American life, we are slowly reverting to a pre-Clinton era of social isolation and political control by a government whose view of the world is greatly diminished by its own insecurity and need to control.

I hope we can end this so-called war on terroism as soon as possible so we can stop hiding and return to the policies and rhetoric of the Clinton Doctrine and a sense of social justice for all.

Here is what I mailed him at rgws@aol.com. Feel free to join in, ...please! *smiling*:

"Get a clue, Rufus. Clinton is the reason we are in the position we are in today. Thanks to his trading secrets to the Chinese military for finance campaign, ignoring terrorist attacks while he got blowjobs, getting ash trays and lamps thrown at him by his selfish power seeking partner in crime, he has no legacy you speak of but a legacy of immorality and criminal acts and suspicious surrounding of death amongst his "connections."

What a shame that God loving leaders in the community such as yourself can't see past this poor excuse of a money grubbing, power monger piece of flesh and try to pull the wool over eyes of followers.

Just a side note, why do YOU think Clinton and his *ahem* wife...aren't paying their own bills now that they are making millions a year instead of depending on their Hollywood friends and the government and taxpayers to carry them as WE always have?

Good day, sir."

Clinton was, is, and always WILL continue to be the huge push towards America's downfall. How one can write about what "he" did as being good is dreaming to say the least. From the time he was protesting (College years) against American soldiers during the Vietnam war....to the time he pardoned Rich as he left office. There is nothing this man has done that could be called good....how blindly the liberals, socialist, and greenies follow his legacy...further cause the problems we must deal with now. Ummm...look at facts and history please.

What a load of bilge! The "Rev." just hasn't got a clue that there really is no "third way". There is the right way and the wrong way and Clinton went any direction to get his way.

Where do these people get this crap? If this man would have been half as bright as he is evil, he would have never p*ssed on the office the way he did!

Now that he is gone from office, the only European leaders who share the views are British Prime Minister Tony Blair and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroder, who will unfortunately probably lose his election later this year.

And guess why, Einstein. People of all western nations are fed up with these socialist, elitist bastages.

ROTFLMAO!!!

"He took money from corporations and auditing firms alike to look the other way while they were cooking the books so they could steal the retirement money of hard-working Americans."

I guess that paragraph fell out. ;-)

"Has that clinton "legacy" made you feel safer yet?"

Lest Americans ever forget why the clintons, and all their enablers need to be hectored, hounded, and harried into silence, until "clintonese is only spoken in Hell," look here:

Thankyou for NOTHING News Activism Forum... Clinton left a full plate of garbage for President Bush and his men to clean up and this set the stage for 9/11. One by one President Bush is getting to all of it. Clinton dismantled the military, undercut the FBI and CIA and put the Justice Department in charge of a lesbian misfit. Clinton let military secrets be sold to China and who knows elsewhere. He all but auctioned off the White House to the highest bidder at his own enrichment. He lied outright to a Grand Jury and filled this nation's judgeships with liberal socialists, that have life tenure, which has undercut our system of laws and the Constitution. Consequently, we have a mess. The pardons are another story. Clinton's legacy is teaching every ten year old child what oral sex is, and that IT ISN'T SEX!! Need I go on??
President Bush is an adult, honorable man. He has mustered the best people our country has to offer, to do the job. They are doing it and
neither you or I may agree with everything, but make no mistake, the country could not be in better hands.

Dear Rufus

Was there more than one Bill Clinton? I seem to remember him quite differently than you do.

It was Bill "He Feels Our Pain" Clinton who attacked an innocent country to divert attention from Monica's testimony.

It was Bill "Almost As Good As A Kennedy" Clinton who did nothing about the 1993 bombing of the WTC.

It was Bill "He's So Cute When He Bites His Lip" Clinton who did nothing about the bombing of the embassies in Africa.

It was Bill "Here, Have A Cigar" Clinton who did nothing about the attack on the USS Cole.

It was Bill "Pee Wee" Clinton who passed up an opportunity to extradite Osama bin Laden from the Sudan.

It was Bill "Hef" Clinton who slashed the military for eight years and crippled the CIA.

It was Bill "An Unusually Good Liar" Clinton who was more worried about his legacy than about the safety of Americans.

It was Bill "Jimmy Swaggart" Clinton that ignored numerous warnings from numerous sources about Al Quieda.

It was Bill "At Least He's Not As Bad As Nixon" Clinton who picked the most incompetent cabinet in the history of the United States, from Albright to Elders, because Hillary told him to.

That's the Bill Clinton I remember. The Alpha Male. The counselor of young female interns. The first black president. The guy you and most every other media outlet supported, endorsed, defended, and apologized for during most of the last decade. Some of you are still apologizing for him. Liberals like you probably always will. And no, he wasn't as bad as Nixon. He was worse. Nixon, at least, had the decency to resign.

Clinton's legacy is, and always will be, a smoldering pile of rubble in lower Manhattan.
