Fox News Cable, MSNBC and CNN are not reporting this. They never interrupt their regular programing for any news on Sundays. I have to wait for my local news network and that usually reports only NY City.

Rita Cosbt says the guy (not Edmunds) has worked in the Smart home on construction projects, and the FBI has been looking at him for a while. They are referring to him as a "suspect." Seems like they are onto something. The more I learned about Edmunds, the less I believed that he was the perp. This suspect fits better, having been in the house, probably having "noticed" the children. God help them. I have had work done on my home from time to time, and I have often been suspicious of the character of the workers that contractors employ. Puts one in a vulnerable situation.

Please look again, the suspect is in
SLC while the REPORTER is in Denver.

Kudos to Carol McKinley. She's a real pro.
Oh, but I have such a sinking feeling. Being that this guy is in construction, they've had him for a week....and that's how long they've been intensively searching construction sites in the Draper area.
Edmunds may connect to it as a lookout.

Thank you for the Info, Sounds like this guy is a slimball, that doesn't give me much hope at all. :(
Could there be ties that one of the family members hired the group of thugs? (If that is the case then I do feel she is still alive) Please keep us updated.
God bless!!

Edmunds also worked construction.

Gerry Rivers said last night that Edmunds may have acted as a lookout for a third party. I don't know where he got that suspicion. Probably from Al Capone's safe.

Fox News had a photo of him, he looked like a slimeball too. Scary eyes. I think this was a botched burglary, or an abduction for ransom gone badly awry.

Where? I have Christiana doing some Russian program.

he also looks like someone who would wear one of those goofy hats to cover the bald... huh?
a team effort?

Other people .. they seem to think there was a much bigger plot involved with taking this girl But why?

This resembles the Ramsey case in so many ways--blonde child, locally known, wealthy family, home entry (at least in the Smart case?). It would be incredible if this vindicated the Ramseys. After all, there was foreign DNA found under her nails.Yes, it would be incredible. How long has it been since Jonbenet was murdered? Four years? I know a lot of people suspect the parents in her death, but I just don't know. These are two strange cases.

Do they have anything to do with the attempted kidnapping of the neighbor's child? Hadn't heard about this. Must be falling behind the curve.

Thanks for that local update. You are the one with your finger on the pulse of this story. Amazing that Fox news et al don't just call the local stations to get the story.
I am sure this will be the splash tomorrow (unless the tanks flatten Arafat.)

Could there be ties that one of the family members hired the group of thugs? Isn't this case bizarre enough and hasn't the family been through enough without you making stuff up out of thin air?
To: Utah Girl
Well, if this criminal Ricci is the one that took her, I also doubt if she'll be found alive. This is horrible.

Fox News had a photo of him, he looked like a slimeball too. Scary eyes. I think this was a botched burglary, or an abduction for ransom gone badly awry. Does he look the sort that would wear a poloshirt and Golf cap? I have not seen the Picture that you have seen, Just curious?

Could there be ties that one of the family members hired the group of thugs? Why would they do that, though? I mean, I suppose we could drag out the old "polygamous cult" thing again, or perhaps a "jealousy of a jilted lover/brother" angle from the Enquirer's smutfest. But I think those would be just too strange, even for this case.
Personally, if this lead has merit, it sounds more like a couple of low-IQ types getting the hots for a pretty little blonde girl, and doing whatever they wanted with her.
There was a really horrible rape/murder case in Colorado Springs a few years back that makes it believable.
