Rita Cosbt says the guy (not Edmunds) has worked in the Smart home on construction projects, and the FBI has been looking at him for a while. They are referring to him as a "suspect."

They said this "suspect" has been in custody for about a week, and they think he's only part of a bigger plan (ransom?) and that he broke into another home in the area within the last year.

I just hope the girl is alive. This has all been so bizarre, I hope they are finally breaking this case. I agree. But if this is just coming out now and Elizabeth isn't back yet, I fear for the worst.

This is not good. I doubt the girl is alive. There would have been a note for ransom if she was alive.

I believe there was a plot to kidnap a child who lived across the street from the Smarts--I don't know when. Utah Girl may have more details.
