We're telling people, 'Trust us. We're confident this is not going to put you out of business.' This is too stupid for simple words *(& (*^@#$&!!!

The fears of small manufacturers and their customers are greatly overblown, Zinger said. "We're telling people, 'Trust us. We're confident this is not going to put you out of business.' " What an a$$! This is not your every day run of the mill sheeple class of people ole Zinger is addressing here. He should've saved his breath. Blackbird.

Yeah right. And Hillary "can't be responsible for every undercapitolized business in the country". Remember?

The EPA is way out of control. My County taxes will go up next year because the county has to comply with new EPA requirements. Have I elected anyone to the EPA? NO. This is basically taxation without representation in my opinion. Who are they accountable to? Apparently no one.

Zinger said. "We're telling people, 'Trust us. We're confident this is not going to put you out of business.' "Isn't that what the Gemans started off saying to the Jews?
Shameless nazi ref for your enjoyment....

What about the current EPA regulations that forbid, under pain of a FEDERAL violation, installation of louder pipes. This should remain a state and local issue. The Feds have absolutely no business in this, none, zip, zilch.
Someone please bump the biker list as well as the enviralist list.

Ok, Can some math genius tell me how much good will it do for our air quality to put catylitic converters on motorcycles?!?!?!?
Ok, forget math geniuses, how bout an average idiot? I think anyone should be able to figure out the impact motorcycles have on air quality.
What's next? catylitic converters on our weed whackers?

What's next? catylitic converters on our weed whackers? These federal agencies have way too much time on their hands. I wouldn't be suprised if that is next.

"Bikers fear the regulations will prevent them from customizing engines to make bikes take off faster and sound louder, which can also make them more polluting."
This sentence is wrong on so many levels I don't know where to begin. Something tells me this reporter isn't a motorhead.

The noise level and the polution level have nothing to do with eachother. A muffler is not a polution control device and a polution control device is not a muffler.

When I rent equipment (usually hole auger) from united rentals I have to pay an environmental impact fee of about 20 cents....

Your right. EVERY night I get to be woken up by some loser roaring down the street on his crap-cycle. Ban 'em all.

THat's odd.
I don't use AC, so my windows are always open all night long. I live about 50-70 yards from a 2 lane highway and there are always harleys going down this road 24-7. THey never wake me up at night, but cat fights sometimes do. Last night I was woken twice by catfights. I never see them, I only hear them. Not even in the daytime do I see cats.
Now, 2 stroke dirt bikes are a different story all together. I hate the sound of those despicable things.

Give your local gendarmes a kick in the hiney to get going based on your state or city ordinances. We do not need Uncle Sam to forbid loud pipes in the middle of the Mojave Desert.

"I think the ultimate goal of the EPA and the government is to do away with two-wheel traffic altogether,'' And four-wheel and eighteen-wheel.
